We booked an Easy Landing and Takeoff package from Meracus Hotel 2. It gave us a free ride from the airport to the hotel and 10% discount on rooms. Our rooms were on the 6th and 7th floor. They were very quiet, clean and very comfortable. I don't know whether or not the rooms on the lower floors have windows. Its location is great - within the old quartar, a block from Lake hoan Kiem and the old church. Tthe hotel staff were very helpful.

One thing we enjoyed the most from this hotel is the breakfast. You can choose anything from their menu that includes vietnamese, Thai, Japanese foods and English breakfast, and the chef will cook fresh for you. I would say we had the best foods at this hotel in Vietnam.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors will be quieter and have windows for sure.

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over Christmas. The service is second to none. We were greeted upon check in with freshly squeezed juice and hot towels which was greatly appreciated after 17 hours of travelling. From that moment on the staff went out of their way to assist us. We stayed in a beautiful junior suite room 701. Wifi was great. Laptop provided. Great laundry service (maybe slightly expensive). Lots of English channels. Great location in the heart of the old quarter. Words can't describe the breakfast!! I'm still dreaming of the banana pancakes and breakfast burrito. If you're staying in Hanoi look no further than the Meracus 2!

The rooms are great, super modern and clean. The beds are comfortable (the only comfortable bed I slept on in Vietnam) and the location is good (close to everything). What tops all of this off is the insanely good customer service. This is the kind of service I've experienced at a Ritz Carlton, it's pretty awesome. I highly recommend the hotel, it's a great value and will make your stay more enjoyable. One minor complaint, which is very common in Hanoi, is the walls are quite thin so it can be a bit annoying if you're a light sleeper. We didn't have any issues but I did notice this, maybe request a higher floor.

We stayed here 3 nights and the staff were the best we have seen in terms of courtesy, professionalism. They knew at each instance what the guest would need. They would remember how we had our tea, coffee, food. They arranged safe trips to and from the train station and showed us places to shop, eat etc every time. Their rooms (family room with balcony) are great. The last day we stayed in a deluxe room and superior room and all rooms are good. I would recommend the family room with a balcony the most.

Room Tip: choose the family room with a balcony for sunlight. if you want quiet choose the back rooms.

After 35 hours of travelling we were exhausted. When we got to the hotel we got a hot cup of tea and a hot towel and felt refreshed. A quick orientation was given and we felt instantly welcomed. The room was fantastic with rose petals lining the bed and basin, a laptop to use and a selection of books including a tour book of Vietnam! Reception was always really friendly and breakfast had an international selection, great vn coffee and dessert! One day we were late for breakfast and it was sent up to our room. This is a gem of a hotel with great customer service
