My wife and I stayed 5 nights overall between tours and paid for 6 as we had arrived at 5.30am from the train from Sa Pa. I had phoned beforehand to say we would be arriving early and was abruptly told we would have to pay for an extra night which was fine as we were exhausted from the train trip.
Staff were efficient but did not go out of their way to assist except when I became ill.
We stayed in the cheapest room which was dark and should have upgraded. Central location to Puppets, Lake, Opera House, Photo Exhibition, Old Quarter and Good Restaurants was great.
