We have traveled to many locations around the world and have stayed at a variety of hotels from 2 star to 5 star hotels. This hotel given its perfect location in the old quarter of HaNoi worked perfectly for us.
The hotel was impeccably clean and the rooms well appointed. Beautiful bathroom with lots of hot water for showering. An important aspect when traveling is the front desk and their customer service. I have to say that the front desk was as if you were at a 5 star plus hotel. The manager and staff were hands down the best we have ever stayed at. We wanted to arrange a private tour during tet week. The girl at the front desk immediately called the manager (at home) while we were waiting and within a couple hours it was all arranged. Gosh I wish I could remember the managers name as he was always smiling, warm and welcoming. He was at the hotel in the mornings and late into the evenings. A definite asset to this hotel for guests. He asked how our day was, how we enjoyed the tour, helped us with directions and gave us insight into their culture.

A true pleasure the stay at the Hong Ngoc Dynastie Hotel and thank you for your fabulous customer service ethics. Two thumbs up to the front desk....unbelievably amazing!!

The only aspect they could improve on is the breakfast.

Room Tip: Upper floor facing street. Quiet room and this hotel has an elevator

We were booked in for 2 nights but on arrival were told there was a problem with our room (something needed repairing). The hotel staff offered us an upgrade to a suite in one of their sister hotels round the corner (Hong Ngoc Tonkin) and paid for a taxi to take us there and back for our second night, where we were also upgraded. Loved being right in the heart of the old quarter. Rooms in both hotels were stylish and authentic, the Dynastie being a little more upmarket, in particular the choice of breakfast and the bathroom equipment. Staff were extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights at the beginning of a 2 week (organised) tour. The rooms were lovely and quiet. Ours had a view of a wall (I'm sure others were available had we asked) but was so nice we decided not to request a move - we weren't there to look out of the window!

The location was excellent, in the heart of Ha Noi Old Quarter and the hotel staff were wonderful.

Only had breakfast - which catered for western & oriental guests and was of a high standard.

No hesitation to recommend to others. We'd certainly go back.

Room Tip: Specify a room with a view if that's important to you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Had a lovely room with our own balcony overlooking the roof tops of Hanoi - between the sounds and views, this really added to our experience of Hanoi. All the staff were lovely and helpful and we found the location great. Just walked and walked all over the place. The only little thing, I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress. Make sure you take in a food tour when in Hanoi - many to choose from.

Room Tip: Dont choose a balcony room if you want a quieter room - didn't bother us, but may some!

The hotel room is spacious and comfortable. Very well located in the old quarter and hence easily accessible to shops, food joints and attractions. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Useful to request for rooms at the back which are quieter. Breakfast spread is modest but ample. Overall, my wife and I like it for the convenience to attractions in Hanoi and that the hotel room is clean and staff are friendly. Will certainly stay here again if we are back in Hanoi.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the street are quieter. Ask for it.

Beautiful family room, 2 huge singles for the kids and nice double in separate room for us. We ate dinner in their restaurant, delicious. Good value for money. They arranged an early transfer to airport for us next morning and started breakfast buffet early just for us....... breakfast was superb. Everything on offer, hot, cold, pastries, desserts, you name it. 2 min walk to lake and right in the heart of old qt rs. Spotlessly clean, grocer two doors up for snacks etc. This hotel was unplanned, we walked in on return from Ha Long Bay after trying to get back into our 1st hotel across the road. Our first hotel was great, but this became the best hotel we had stayed in of all Vietnam. Service everywhere was great, but this place took the prize. We will stay again. Just book it. You wont regret it.

Room Tip: Fold out bed for my son is fine. Quality bed and mattress and huge. Very comfy per my 15 yr old so...

We picked this hotel for its location and got a great experience also. It is close to where Hang Bong meets Hang Gai, so one direction took us to our favorite coffee shop, Puku, and the other took us to the little lake. Plus, it is close to the big church where there are some great restaurants. If you want to see a local market, there is one in an alley just down the street. Service is usually good in Vietnam and this is no exception. The staff are very friendly and obliging. Any problems were sorted out promptly. The bartender made very good cocktails and we even scored a bottle of Aussie red. We decided to eat in a few times, ordering Aussie steak and a local fish meal. We were both so happy with the meals that we kept ordering the same. Each time was a bit different but always good. We have spent a lot of time in Vietnam and this is the only place to do a good steak.
The room is big enough, no bath but plenty of hot water for a shower.
Congratulations to the manager and staff for running a great hotel. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We always stay at the front to watch the passing parade of street life
