“Better than I expected”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2014

We were 3 nights in Hanoi Pearl (with a night apart). On the first night I was in a comfortable but with no view room. In the other two nights, we have been upgrade to a superior room with a view. The new room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also spacious and very modern. It was surely a room that could be in a 5 star hotel. The free WiFi was acceptable. The breakfast room could be a little biger, breakfast was good and varied. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excelente, in the center of old town just a few minutes from Lake Hoam Kien

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights 16, 17 th feb 2014. room 406 room was passable but view was shocking, brick wall which I could touch. Breakfast was at best fair, at worst not great.
Upon checking out we were asked if we stole a face cloth, to which I informed them , that the cleaning staff has in fact stole my own face cloth, which always carry with me. After this I was told I had to pay for a packet of crisps roughly about 50p worth but was charged around 1.50. The hotel was always cold as they kept front door open most of the time. Not a 4star by any stretch of the imagination more like a 2-3. They also advertise a roof top bar and dining room , neither exists

We stayed in Hanoi Pearl one night and found it nice and well located. The room was big enough and very nice. The breakfast option is fair even though not extensive as in other hotels we stayed in Vietnam. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel is located in the old quarter, allowing us to have a stroll before going to bed around the lake and the "movida" part of the city.

Please pay attention to the room location, our window was just above a pub and untill midnight we had our little disco in the room . . .

Overal rate 3.5 owing to the noise . . .
Ciao

I have just arrived to Hanoi Pearl Hotel and I must say I got a noisy room, not only because of the pub we have just in front of the hotel but also because of the bad isolation of the rooms. I can perfectly listen to every single conversation guests have in front of the elevator.
Will I be able to sleep tonight?

Visiting from Houghton Conquest, UK. 3 nights from Feb 3 2014. Construction next store over or stopped for TET holiday. Don't know which but hotel was quiet. Super part of town. Ideal for lake, shopping and wandering. Streets named after product sold, eg Electronics Street. Found several streets that should have been called Tacky Souvenir Street.
Staff at Pearl were excellent and very helpful. Hotel clean and smart. Room a bit small with no natural light. Breakfast excellent with wide choice. Shame about the coffee!
We would definitely stay there again but would make sure of a better room.

Pearl Hotel is in a fantastic location in the old section of the city, in a relatively quiet street compared to the rest of Hanoi. The hotel is spotless, the rooms great and the service and food were excellent. A perfect spot to escape the madness of the city. Excellent value for money too.

We stayed at the hotel while stopping over in Hanoi when enroute to other areas in Vietnam. We stayed about three nights- but it was split up over our time in Vietnam.

The rooms were comfortable. Not to big, not to small- goldielocks. The shower was a bit small. We are tall people and had to duck down to wash our hair or use the hand wand thing. Decor was ok as well.

The the first night we stayed they gave us two twin beds when we booked the king. They said they were overbooked. It didn't happen on any other stay- so it could have been because it was their new years. Free wifi, in room safe. The usual.

The location is about 45 min from the airport, right in the old quarter. It is close to the lake, restaurants, and shopping. There are many high end stores (Prada, coach etc.) as well as stands with tourist knicknacks. It was nice and quiet even though it was in a busy area.

Breakfast was ok, coffee was terrible. The breakfast was your typical buffet with both western and asian options.

Room Tip: We stayed in a few rooms throughout our stays and they were all the same.
