“very good Hostel and stuff!!!”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

in simple words, very good value for money. The hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi and it's very clean and it has all you need. The stuff are very friendly and they're always happy to help you with whatever you may need.

Room Tip: The Hostel doesn't have an elevator, so try to get a room on the first or second floor.

Loved the staff, they went out of their way to help, everybody was helpful. The bigger rooms had a lovely balcony with a nice view. WiFi was fast, breakfast was good, amazing value for your money. Highly recommend the place

Room Tip: Choose the rooms on the right hand side as you go up, the ones with the big balcony

Well, there I was, tired and jetlagged after 18-hour flights through Helsinki and Bangkok, stumbling into car they kindly organized me, barely mumbled few words out at check-in and climbed up to 5th floor to go to bed and sleep for few weeks. Opened the door, went into my room...

...and there was a balcony.

It was a small one but a good view. Quite narrow, so hard to sit there comfortably. There was a balcony of hotel next to this one where there were two German girls sitting, I waved them, they didn't wave back. I dragged my chair to balcony despite signs that said you should not move furniture, managed to fit it there just nicely to sit down with a book, sounds of the street coming from below and smell of pho bo drifting upwards, all my tiredness evaporating.

That was awesome start for my Vietnam trip. Stayed there for three days exploring Hanoi and always came back to like home. They were OK when I stumbled in few days after checking out of their hotel when I had just arrived by night bus from Sapa and felt that I'm in a mood for biting someone, but they gave me a room for shower and big steaming bowl of pho gha, and I left for Halong bay without causing bodily harm to anyone. Few days later, arriving from Halong Bay in much similar condition, they showered me and fed me again and then sent me off on a motorbike with a guide to catch a train in a confusing jumble of misery that is called Hanoi railway station.

For all that they asked for no extra charge, just smiled a lot. This place is awesome.

My husband and I were searching for a good clean hostel in this big city Hanoi which location is accessible to nearly almost everything and we found the right one we had been looking for! We stayed for almost three weeks here and this hostel made us feel very comfortable, happy and full of satisfaction during our stay. All the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and have good wifi. This hostel is very close and sometimes walkable distance to the local markets, local restaurants, museums and other places of interest. The service we received is of superior quality and breakfast is also included in the price we paid therefore I would gladly recommend this hostel especially to those people who would have the first experience of staying in a guest house in a foreign city.

I stayed here for 9 nights while I was apartment hunting and settling into the city. It was my home away from home and really made my initial experience to Vietnam truly amazing. The staff are just amazing, so friendly and helpful. They always had a smile on their face and went out of their way to help me with all sorts of matters. The room was perfect; clean, tidy and comfortable. Couldn't fault it. The breakfast and drink every morning was an added bonus, delicious food which made for a great start to the day. Good location too, easy access to every thing in the old quarter. So overall it is excellent value for money however the staff really made my experience here so enjoyable. After leaving the hostel I missed them, they feel like family! Well worth the visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed here , after spending a night in the old centre hotel ( which was lovely!) And found the staff to be just as friendly !such a lovely chain of hotels. We found the room to be clean and comfortable and nicely decorated, we were bumped up as last time to a deluxe room, and enjoyed our stay very much! We plan to stay here again after visiting Cat Ba island! Thankyou to the staff for such a friendly welcome, and for so much help in planning the next part of our trip.

Stayed here for 11 nights whilst my boyfriend recovered from Dengue Fever. It's a lovely hostel and worth the price tag. They've considered every small detail and the location is perfectly central.

The staff are truly great - very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. They helped us with a couple of complicated matters which went beyond their usual responsibilities, always with a smile. Excellent customer service and the free coffee and lemon juice on arrival was very welcoming.

The room was like our second home. We stayed in the double delux which is large, nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. It had a fridge, TV, aircon, and a lovely en suite with a great shower. The lighting was good too - bed-side lamp, spot lights and wall lights. Good view of the street and large doors opening onto a tiny balcony. It was cleaned every couple of days without us having to ask.

The free breakfast includes one drink, one meal (eggs&bread/soups/pancakes/cornflakes and more) and an extra plate of fruit. Very tasty, filling and healthy - really set us up for the day.

There is a book swap with a few books. Just swap a book for a book with no extra cost.

Negative: the wifi in our room was usually quite slow and sometimes didn't work at all. We had to Skype family in the breakfast area. However there are 2 computers in the reception area with fast internet, which you can use for free.

We would definitely recommend this hostel.
