“An inexpensive hidden secret in Hanoi....very easily 4 stars by western standards!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Located in the old part of Hanoi, this hotel was with well within walking distance of the enormous and famous 'turtle' lake.
Arrived at the hotel late at night and check-in was completed within 2 minutes.
The rooms were in excellent decorative order, and included all the usual facilities. Had a wonderful, peacefull sleep during both my stays here.
Breakfast on the top floor was extensive (something for everybody) and service was very good.
Hotel was well organised with a high level of service; the staff
were very helpful and easy to communicate.
Plates of free fresh seasonal fruit were a nice touch :-)
A 'must' hotel for a stay in Hanoi!

I stayed at this little hotel for 5 weeks while in Hanoi on business. It is in the center of "Old Hanoi" and you will get the full "Vietnam" city experience as soon as you step out the door. My room was large with an full sized bath with a good shower. I had a daily breakfast (included) in the restaurant on the top floor daily, the wait staff quickly learned my preferences! The desk arranged a tour of Hue for me during a weekend off which was easy and fine, no surprises. I recommend this hotel if your tastes are simple and you want to experience the old town.

This hotel just walking distance to old quarter. Breakfast just american breakfast. The room is small. Most horrible things are the air-conditioned will out of service. The cleanliness of room just average.

This is a good hotel, nothing special..... just good. Rooms are big and comfortable and the breakfast is acceptable. The major advantage of this hotel is its location. When you walk out, you inmediately start to learn and understand the culture and way of living of the vietnamees.

Good option for families and couples. Hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. Avoid having dinner at the italian restaurant by the lobby, the food is good but the service is terrible. We waited 1 hour to be served.

Room Tip: Look for sa room in 7th floor to get a better view of the city.

We stayed there twice. The first time we arrived, they gave us two rooms which were not done... the bell boy, horrified, went down to get two new ones. He came back up with two new keys and... one room was not done!!! In the end, we got 2 clean rooms...

Comfort is good, rooms with balcony are better (we visited a lot of rooms so we can compare!).

Breakfast is good and we also had a very nice lunch there.

The location is perfect for tourists, right in the hectic center.

We stayed here with my parents for one night at the end of April.

We liked the rooms which were very clean and comfortable, with the bed mattress just fine.

Hotel is perfectly located in Hanoi, around 5-10mns walk from the Hoan Kiem lake, and around 15-20mns walk from the museums such as Art Museum, as well as the Temple of Litteratue. Also at the end of bat Dan street you can find the best Pho restaurant in town, which is just a must eat in Hanoi.

We also liked the breakfast, not so many choices finally but everything was good and especially the French Baguette, just like what you can get in France in good bakeries.

Overall, even if the hotel may need to be slightly renovated (I found the hotel entrance not really welcoming and the rooms a bit old), our stay there was very good and we could recommend this hotel, It should be a good value for money. To be noted as well the staff was very friendly and eager to help in any situation.

Stayed 2 nights at Quoc Hoa Hotel in Hanoi with my 3 children (7, 5 and 4 years). The family room was spacious and fitted easily king size bed, another bed for one and added bed for one. Excellent value for money, great location and friendly service. Will stay here next time too when transiting couple of days in Hanoi.
