Reviewed 1 September 2014

nice hotel but the reception persons were not so kind, it was like we are bothering them, but food excellent ; i love the surroundings as it was not far from the center, i loved to walk in the road but i was not happy abt the reception workers

Room Tip: i got the room on the top but i didnt know where it was located as we didn't open the window

By far the worst hotel we have stayed at in Vietnam! We can't understand how it has such great reviews... We wondered if people are writing reviews on this hotel thinking it's the one a few doors down with a similar name. Room was terrible, bed very hard (even compared to other places in Vietnam). Bathroom needed some work, door didn't close, no shower curtain and only cold water. Breakfast included in the morning I wouldn't serve to my worst enemies. Only positive was that the staff were nice. Lucky for us we were only here for 1 night after returning from Ha Long Bay.

Service was 10/10 so helpful and friendly! Great English from most staff and they went the extra mile on everything for us! I have been backpacking and staying all over Vietnam and other countries and this was the best service and hotel I have stayed at, great value for money - no complaints at all! Would gladly recommend and stay again

We were switched to this hotel as a sister hotel as the hotel we booked originally didn't have our reservation!!!
The room was extremely small! We stayed in 3 different hotels in Hanoi this was not great. The room had a small bed which was against a wall on 3 sides it was very inaccessible!

The cleaners were screaming and shouting at 6.30am! Not a great nights sleep.

You don't need many words to describe this Hotel: clean and spacious rooms, great location, tasteful breakfast, coffee all day, splendid tours (Sapa, Halong Bay) and the most loveful, charming, helpful and caring staff.
We had a wonderful honeymoon-stay!!! Thank you!

We visited this hotel during our World Challenge trip to Vietnam - 11 teenagers and three adults from Australia - and we were very pleased with our choice of the Rising Dragon as our home base. We returned to Hanoi and the Rising Dragon after visiting other places in Northern Vietnam and each time we felt like we were coming home. We found it to be quite comfortable, in a handy location, the food was great, and the staff were wonderful. They even let us store our backpacks here one day while we waited to board a late night train. Thankyou Rising Dragon.

Room Tip: The kids were given larger rooms at the front with balconies and baths. The single rooms were at the...

We stayed here for three nights and don't have anything to complain about. The room was very clean and the people working there more than friendly. They helped us whenever we asked then and gave us valuable information!
What I liked most about the place are the quietness of the rooms and the breakfast in the morning. After a long flight all I longed for was a quiet sleep in a clean bed, the Rising Dragon Hotel fulfilled this wish and did not disappoint me in any other way. For the breakfast in the morning you get a nice buffet and can choose what you like as main dish.
Keep up the good work, we felt very comfortable at the hotel!
