“Dreamiest Tree House in the entire Vietnam”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Staying at the cozy treehouse was a part of my holiday that I was waiting for. Within the hustle of Hanoi, lies tree houses, stone huts, art and dungeons, where the daily food that's served is the best in Vietnam and the owner/artist, Khan and staff (Mingh ++) are inviting, sweet and full of enthusiasm. The location was ideal as it only took 15 mins by taxi to everywhere and Jenny was a delight to book with and was always available with information and insight. If you want to sleep in the dreamiest treehouse in Vietnam, where you'll be eating family style every night, surrounded by artists and adventure, then I highly recommend booking this location.

“My highlight of the trip in this city. Wouldn’t miss it for the world!”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I will definately be coming back here next time I am in Hanoi. Khanh and his family have a beautiful home, and are so kind and caring that you definately feel welcome and at home. The room is very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were easily the best Vietnamese meals I had during my time in the country. The taxi struggled to find the place a couple of times so have the Vietnamese directions ready and the local number for the house. Thank you!

“Fabulous food and homestay experience”
Reviewed 20 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The staff was very accommodating particularly when it came to arranging a taxi at a great rate. The cozy treehouse was a lot of fun to stay in and the coffee was great considering I'm not a coffee drinker. The pho served for breakfast was fabulous.

“Amazing! You have to give it a go.”
Reviewed 3 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We live in the cozy tree house one night. It's too amazing to describe! We love it even want to stay there more days wile our schedule is not allowed. Owner of the house is very kind but it's really a pity didn't meet the artist. It's a very special and unforgettable experience living in the tree house.

“A Slice of Bohemian Heaven”

We finally made it here after a 3 month delay due to forgotten visa & conflict of schedule, but Heaven doesn't disappoint! Perhaps because of our long standing reservation, we were given the coveted upstairs room at the main house of the compound.

To call it the main house does not do it justice. It's more like a small hundreds-year-old temple, made of solid wood, in the traditional Vietnamese style. Downstairs of the house is the common area or the gallery, every corners filled with the owner's paintings, drawings, and sculptures.

Upstairs is divided into one spacious bedroom with a platform bed overlooking the carved wood windows & alcoves of sitting areas with traditional Vietnamese furniture & more paintings & sculptures. The main house is not equipped with air condition but has plenty of fans to keep cool.

The ground of the compound is lush with tropical plants with lots of places to explore - different path leads you to a more conventional guesthouse, a fully livable tree house, a grassy area with platform day beds, and a cobble-stoned courtyard with a pigeon shack; a favorite of my 5-year-old child.

With the exception of the conventional guesthouse with its ensuite bathroom, all accommodations have to use the outhouse/bathroom, located at the back of the main house. The steps down from our room to ground floor is manageable (my child really likes using the ropes to get down) but treehouse guests need to use caution on the steep staircase.

The compound is managed by the capable & friendly housekeeper & her little helper of a guard dog, moon. I wish there was more information about the history of the compound; I bet it has a truly amazing story to tell.
