Reviewed 3 May 2013

we are group of 6 young traveler from Malaysia...

we were surprise that the service provided by the staff was super excellence! Credit to 2 beautiful lady at reception counter especially miss Thu...who always smile and very helpful. we noticed she works from 7 am till 7pm..(super tiring). she s not only responsible for common receptionist job like (check in room,PR, etc) but help us on arranging taxi, tour, food, problem wt tour agency and even greet us at the entrance door every time we come back from shopping, dinner, etc...

the complimentary breakfast was lovely...especially the Garlic Bread....credit to mr cook!

the location was good, walking distance to the lake.

Laptop was provided in each room and strong connection Wifi....we really recommend the hotel to everyone... Congrats to receptionist team!

The long time manager of the Hanoi Elegance Sapphire has taken over the hotel and it now has a new name. I have been staying at this hotel since my first trip to Hanoi in 2008 and have always highly recommended it and continue to do so under the new management. If available I book a Junior Suite (has a small terrace) but if not the standard rooms are just fine. This is a wonderful location, the hotel is a great value for the money, and the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I arrived on the "new" hotel's third day of business and found (other than the new owner/manager) that the staff was also all new. They were still in a learning phase so service was not quite 100% yet, but this was not due to a lack of trying. The new staff was very eager to please and I am sure that within a month or two they will be at 100%...this is not a criticism, just an observation and should not be seen as a reason to go elsewhere.

Dear Valued Guests,

Kindly be noticed that from April 2013, our branch at No. 106 Hang Bong street – the Hanoi Elegance Sapphire hotel is closed for good and we are moving to the new property centrally located at No. 18 Lo Su street, Old Quarter, Hanoi.

Adjacent to the Elegance Diamond hotel, the new Hanoi Elegance Happy hotel is only minutes away from many tourist attractions such as the Lake of Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, Hanoi Opera house, the Water puppet theatre and the peculiar Hanoi Old Quarter itself, saving you tremendous of time exploring & discovering the charming city.

By this move, we have managed to overcome the default of the Elegance Sapphire hotel which some rooms are lacking of external open windows. The new boutique Elegance Happy hotel possesses 21 luxuriously-appointed rooms, all with city view open windows and are equipped with air conditioner, free ADSL & wireless internet access, IDD telephone, satellite TV, mini bar, marble-tiled bathrooms with high-end amenities.

As always, your stay will continue to be cared for by our team of dedicated and professional staff, which set the exceptionally high standard for the hotel service in Vietnam. Retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of Hanoi, indulge yourself in the exclusive tranquility and luxury of your stay at our hotel where ‘no request is too large, no details too small.’

We were placed to this hotel after our original booking with Angel Palace Hotel which was a few doors away was doing some interior painting and the because of the paint hotel, the staff there suggested that we stayed in this hotel without paying any extra. Room was decent with the window facing a nicely done up decorated wall as a view. Bathroom was simple and relatively clean but the amenities placed were not new and I would rather they placed new ones or don't place at all. There was a fruit platter given to us and the breakfast was ala carte but eat all you can. However during our checkout, there was a miscommunication that we had to pay for the hotel night and wanted to charge us USD 5 for a plastic laundry bag which we took from the room, but these was sorted out relatively quickly. Overall, the staff tries their best to serve us well and the one night stay was sufficient for sleeping. I would recommend the Hanoi Moment Hotel though if you visit Hanoi.

We started our 3 week stay here and in so many ways it was our favorite hotel of the trip. They have a wonderful staff, helpful and kind, always good-natured even when my husband and I decided to take a walk at 5:30 in the morning and woke up the hardworking guys trying to get a few hours of sleep!
The breakfasts were superb, cooked to order and no place compared. Every hotel we stayed at we hoped would be as good but it never happened. The most beautifully prepared omelettes and crepes, decorated exquisitely, like little works of art, almost too beautiful to eat, but we did! The staff in the breakfast room were wonderful, our lovely servers even sang a song to me about iced coffee, my favorite. They prepared it for me each morning, a beautiful tall glass, no extra charge. Everywhere else we were charged extra for half that amount.
A great location, walking distance to the lake, great street food on every corner.
Wish we could have returned. I heard they are closing to merge with another hotel in their chain, a pity I think.
A great place, thank you for starting our trip out so wonderfully!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Elegance Sapphie in March during our one month tour of Vietnam. The hotel is in a great location for taking walking tours of Hanoi.
Our room was terrific.....clean, bright, fresh fruit available and reasonalby priced. The front desk folks helped us with train tickets, airline reservations, restaurant advice, plus they managed to find us a room at a resort on Phu Quoc when the hotle's online site kept saying it was full !
They even packed us a box lunch breakfast to take with us when we had to catch a 6:00am train.
All in all a very positive experience and we would not hesitate to recomment this hotel.
There is only one word to use when describing the service we recieved : " Fantastric " !

We booked a taxi from this hotel and it was waiting for us at Hanoi Airport. I had originally tried to book at the Hanoi Elite hotel but unfortunately that was fully booked - should say we wanted a room to accommodate three adults - and they emailed me back and offered me the Elegance Sapphire - so we booked the spacious Family Suite. The staff were great, the position was good, I cannot think of anything negative to say about this hotel. Highly recommended.
