It was an errand trip to HCMC with my Parents, Grandmum & Aunty.
The hotel is just centralised to the shopping streets, halal dining & anything where a traveller needs. Team of friendly workers & helpful too.
Clean & efficient.

I have stayed at Giang Linh Hotel for 11 weeks over the past 3 years. Each stay was pleasant, the staff helpful and friendly. I have recommended the hotel to many people and brought friends with me to the hotel. My relationship with this business is finished. On my most recent stay there was no hot water in my room for the first three days. I reported this every day and was told it would be taken care of. On the third day maintenance personel came with me to the room and discovered that although the water heater was working a valve that supplies water to the room was turned off, it was easily fixed. When preparing to check out I suggested that I should be compensated a little for the inconvienience of having only cold water for three days. The staff was very appologetic and seemed sympathetic but the manager refused to give me any compensation, I suggested $20 would be fair (1 day rate). Since I had already finished my stay I think the manager thought they could refuse to compensate me for this shortfall in basic service and not realize any consequences. This seems like a greedy money grab to me, I feel I have been a good customer and planned to return. For the sake of a small adjustment to my bill the managment has lost my future business, I visit Viet Nam at least once each year, have always stayed at Giang Linh and planned to stay there on futurevisits to HCMC. Additionaly I will no longer recommend to friends that they stay here. My decision is striclty based on the business ethics that I believe in, take your chances at Giang Linh. If there are no problems you will find it wonderful, if you do have a problem management will not respond with basic business ethics. Beware! This hotel is affiliated with several others, check that out before booking anywhere else.

I was at the hotel for 35 days and would stay there again. Close too center of city, walking distance to most attractions. Staff was outstanding. Rooms were cleaned everyday, and if you needed anything all you had to do was call the desk. This was for hot water for coffee, someone to go and get sandwiches, to booking a tour in or outside of town.

I love this small family hotel, it's clean, it has large rooms, big windows, no smell, wireless internet on the room is free of charge, it's close to the center, hotel staff is very friendly, especially at the reception and it's not expensive at all .... always like to come back there

I stayed here for 3 nights just before the Tet holiday 2008. This is a nice hotel located in District 1 city center, within walking distance to Ben Thanh market, business district, backpacker area and Reunification Palace. I booked by calling them directly. The rooms were clean, had cable tv, AC and stand up shower. The staff was nice and attentive. The rooms were modestly priced at $25 for room with window, $20 for room without window. For the price, location and room quality, it is a great deal and would stay here again for future visits. Good option for people not interested in staying in backpacker area where there are a lot bars and noise. Also there are other similar small hotels in the direct vicinity of Giang Linh.
