Hotel is not modern, but is it clean and tidy. It has a good river view and the city center (for example opera house) is near - just 5 minutes walking distance. Hotel has a big rooms and nice service. There are some other facilities as massaga (SPA center in a good price) and travel agencly in this hotel.

Room Tip: Take a room with a riverside view.

Fairly well located hotel in District 1, but that's about it. Breaksfast was average, while the room was clean it was in need of some serious updating. The grand old building has so much potential, but just needs someone to fix it up. Luckily we were only staying the one night.

We stayed for one night just to get to the airport the following morning. For that purpose the hotel is ideally located - about 15 minutes by cab. Location wise it's good for the main attractions as well. It is on a busy road, however our room was on the back of the hotel with no window, so we never heard any traffic. The place looks tired and is in desperate need of some refurbishments. The staff also seem to be tired as everyone is constantly hanging out on the sofas in the lobby, busy updating their Facebook status or something. The room itself was dated, but clean. Breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about. The driver we arranged through the hotel was on time. When we checked out the card machine was conveniently broken, so we could only pay in cash. I walked a block and a half in 37 degree heat to find a decent HSBC ATM, because I wasn't keen on using the dodgy looking ATM in the lobby. Upon returning and with Niagara Falls pouring down my back I paid and asked kindly for a small bottle of water to drink in the cab. After asking twice for a receipt and several times for the water a receipt was written and I was offered a cup of cold green tea. Which I had to down as the cab driver was already waiting for 15 mins. If you're staying for one night and are prepared to put up with this, than go for it. If you intend to stay in Saigon longer, please find something else.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times in the past 12 months (in/out via Saigon, ranging from 1-3 nights), and note a rapid decline in all aspects. Had to ask for tea/coffee facilities in the room, bed linen had holes, water pressure inadequate, safety deposit box not working, no plug for sink (one could not be located in entire hotel), and overall not particularly clean. Minor irritations, but pretty basic requirements not being met. Breakfast was ordinary. This hotel has great potential as a historic building centrally located, and has changed markedly since our first visit. Staff friendly enough, but communication at front desk was poor -- over-charged for late checkout. Will try somewhere else next time.

As the other reviews have noted, the photo is absurdly edited. There is indeed a major road in front of the hotel and it is not picturesque at all.
The hotel could be a nice historic building and a nice place to stay. The location is really great, and the staff seemed to try hard, but the upkeep is indeed dreadful. The hotel in general and my room in particular were badly worn down, my carpet looked like it had stains on it older than I am, and the mattress was beyond its expiry date. The bathroom could best be described as basic. It all seems so unfortunate, as this could so easily be converted into a nice 5 star boutique hotel.

One saving grace though- the breakfast is really decent!

I stayed the hotel for two nights. It was a room without window, not asking in advance, but the cost was reasonable so no complain. The breakfast is ordinary for this class of hotel, I guess. Warm noodles are nice. I liked the location. All of the tourist places are within the walking distance. The hotel staff are relatively helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you look for a budget accommodation.

Room Tip: There are rooms without windows, so better ask for the ones with window if you would like to feel th...
