While I'm not extremely impressed by this hotel, I can't fault it on any level. Even though they try to push some tours, they're not in your face like similar establishments in Vietnam. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The manager is a lovely lady and helped us anyway even though we didn't want to book loads of tours through the hotel.
We stayed there for two nights at first in a very spacious room on the 4th floor at the front of the hotel and then we went to the Mekong for a couple of days. When we got back, we got a smaller room on the 5th floor for the same price as the first room. Unfortunately the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor, so you have to take the stairs for one floor. That's not bad in itself but the stairwell is a bit slippery and mind your head if you're 6ft or taller.
A young lad at the front desk rented out his scooter for us for $7 (including petrol).
The rooms are decorated tastefully and while the included breakfast is totally dull, it's a useful start to a day.
