We were upgraded to a stunning suite. Everything about this hotel is first class. Rooms spotless, breakfast and lounge terrific, staff courteous and attentive. Even laundry sensibly priced. Location ideal close to all major attractions.

I could not recommend it more highly. Thank you to all staff.

This was the first destination and a really good hotel to start our holiday. My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental for 4 nights.

The location was good and within walking distance to many sites (which was important to us as we love to explore the city on foot while on holiday). The city is easy to navigate if you have a map.

The view from our room was interesting. We had a clear view of an intersection which provided us with countless moments of entertainment as we watched the locals and tourists navigate the intersection. Also the view from the poolside (on the roof) was amazing.

Housekeeping was very diligent. Room was clean and the water replenished everyday.

The staff was very polite and helpful. We had the concierge recommend us a restaurant while we were there and she booked our table as well provided us with a printed map to help us navigate the area.

Before going to Vietnam we heard a lot about tourists being targeted by unscrupulous taxi drivers. The hotel provides a taxi pick-up service (free and right outside the main entrance) which only uses taxis that have a good reputation. If you want to take a taxi please use this service.

The restaurants in the hotel are expensive. We were not tempted sign up for the breakfast rate as it did not make fiscal sense (the breakfast was more expensive that in most hotels in the west). There are a few places (Hard Rock Cafe, a Singaporean restaurant, a Korean Place, a Coffee shop, an Italian restaurant, just to mention a few) to eat in the complex attached to the hotel. These can be accessed through the side entrance in the lobby or from the outside. We had breakfast at the coffee shop (which also had free wi-fi) and dinner a couple of times at the Italian restaurant.

The complex attached to the hotel also has ATM machines if you need to withdraw cash.

Wi-fi at the hotel is expensive. Its best to use it at a coffee shop as most coffee shops in Ho Chi Minh have free wi-fi. The password is usually printed on the receipt or provided by a friendly member of staff when asked.

The gym at the hotel was adequate. The opening hours for hotel guest were 24/7. The gym is also used by locals for a fee so check what times are not busy with the staff and plan your visit accordingly. We frequented the gym usually around 11am and didn't have a problem. The pool is refreshing and has and aquarium feel to it as one wall is glass. Also its nice to lay under an umbrella by the pool side and enjoy a cool drink as you take in the view.

Room Tip: We asked for a room on a higher floor as it would have ensured a peaceful nights sleep minus any noi...

Such a lovely review, thank you so much.

I hope the rest of your stay in Vietnam and South East Asia was great as well and you brought home many exciting memories.

As you wrote, we are right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Saigon Opera House, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Post office and many other attractions are walking distance from us.

I am glad you enjoyed the gym and the pool. The pool is certainly unique with its glass walls.

In regards to WiFi, as of January 1st 2014, we will offer free WiFi to all our IHG Rewards Club members which is a really good news as this applies to all the IHG hotels across the world and will certainly help our members to enjoy even more benefits regardless which country they visit.

Once again, thank you very much from all of us and we hope to welcome you to InterContinental Asiana Saigon again.

Best regards,

Staying at the Intercontinental Asiana for a business event I found the property to be fantastic. The rooms were fully equipped with quality finishes and a beautiful bathroom. Likewise the restaurants had really comfortable and well designed spaces. Market 39 had a very tasty buffet both for breakfast and for lunch.

We chose the hotel based on its location and on the reviews on Tripadvisor. The location is absolutely perfect - just behind the Post Office, 3 minutes walk to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Walking distance to almost everything you would like to see as a tourist in Saigon.
The hotel is very modern and it does not show signs of wear and tear. Large bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, nice toiletries.
It is connected through a gallery to a small shopping arcade with many of restaurants including a Subway if you want something lighter.
Good breakfast with many made to order stations including Pho and other local specials. They had fresh coconut juice which we loved. Very nice selection of fresh fruit including an explanation of which was what (very helpful :)).
The only significant minus was the lack of free WiFi - it should not be that difficult to offer this and I am sure guests would appreciate it.

I recently stayed here for a business trip not having been back to Saigon for several years. The check in was fast and efficient and i was able to extend my check out till 5pm which was really useful. The room was comfortable and clean. Internet access was excellent and the room comes with a great ipod player. The gym is very well equipped and spacious. I wanted to try the raised glass swimming pool but alas it was raining. The conference facilities were really first class and I gave my talk using an extended view 3D projection which was impressive. The soundstage was also very professional. I had an hour to kill before leaving for the airport and discovered a shopping mall attached to the hotel with a Hard Rock cafe. Needless to say i got the kids presents sorted out in no time. Will certainly stay here again.

Wonderful review, thank you very much for that lovely feedback.

Our Meeting facilities really are great. We offer the largest, pillar free Ballroom in Ho Chi Minh City which can seat around 1000 guests depending on the style. Ballroom is complimented with 7 break our rooms holding between 10 and 100 guests and most of the offer day light. The best part of our Meeting Facilities is that all the Meeting rooms are on the same floor, making if really easy for the organizers to plan their events.

I am glad you enjoyed the gym, it does have the newest equipment and is very spacious. Next time you visit us, I strongly recommend to try our Spa InterContinental. The treatments are heavenly.

Hard Rock Café in our building is the only Hard Rock Café in Vietnam and it does offer a great entertainment.

Please contact me before your next arrival, I would love to say hello in person and offer you a cup of coffee in case you have a few spare minutes. My e-mail address is Michaela.Smith@ihg.com
