“Huge, comfy bed”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

A really big, stylish but most importantly stylish bed.
Pros: Friendly customer service was evident as soon as I stepped out of the taxi. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. It was well furnished with a luxurious bathroom. The breakfast room service was really 2nd to none. It was freshly prepared and brought to our room on a table. The gym was clean and had the latest equipment. The location of this hotel was convenient and safe. The hotel bar, Purple Jade was impressive - great cocktails accompanied by delicious food.
Cons: Pricey

We had another wonderful stay at the IC Asiana Saigon to complete our VN honeymoon trip and head off to Paris before returning home. We returned to IC for two nights and were assigned a Club Level Corner Suite on the 20th/top floor. We reserved a Club King and as an Ambassador member, we were upgraded. This is a spacious room with a separate living room with state of the art audio/video. The bathroom had separate shower and a modern free standing deep bath tub. The bed and linens were very comfortable. In fact, we wished they had used the same bed at the new IC Nha Trang. The Asiana has better quality mattresses. (Separate review.)

Not sure if it was because we are returning guests or Ms. Lien Tran from the IC Danang called the hotel, but our room had a beautiful orchid bouquet for our arrival. Service at the hotel from bellman to Club Lounge staff was top notch. The ladies at the Club Lounge give us a genuine and warm welcome, as if we were returning friends. Staff hit the perfect level of professionalism and warmth as they helped made our stay most comfortable. Stand outs were the Club Lounge team including, Tran, Vy, Thanh, and chi Hoa. Chi Hoa was especially kind as we later found out she stayed a long time after her shift was completed to chat with us and give us recommendations Also, it was a very nice gesture for the Nguyen Viet Tan, one of the manager, to introduce himself when we were in the lounge, and welcomed us back.
Club Lounge Perks- We very much enjoyed the Club Lounge. It’s an adults’ only space. Breakfast here was tranquil and relaxing, VN ice coffee is the best. Food selection is of high quality and good selection. We got to enjoy cocktail hour this time around and again, high quality canapés and top shelf drinks.

Market 39- We took family here for the buffet breakfast and the selection is huge. As expected, more busy than the Club Lounge, and no complaints. Great service and high quality food.

The hotel itself is nicely situated by restaurants, boutiques, and all the key sites. Most importantly, it’s a quiet oasis in this bustling vibrant city. Taxi is a breeze and dirt cheap. We appreciate that the bellman always right down the taxi number and tell the taxi were we wanted to go. Return is not a problem; we’ve only used Vinasun though.
We had another enjoyable stay and will certainly return soon as well as send our friends and family. Thank you.

Room Tip: Club Level King Corner Suite is perfect. Club rooms is worth the perks of Club Lounge Access.

Brilliant location nice rooms but no free wifi which is a pain. you have to buy it at 12$ a day.
right next to the old post office and they also provide lots of trips for you to get out of the city and see the things. did the viet cong tunnel tour by boat which was deffo worth it

The intercontinental in HCMC is a very good hotel and impeccably located in the centre of the city. This hotel chain is well known to create impressive business hotels which can deter family's however with the intercontinental's central location and helpful concierge this hotel accommodates more than the normal business visitor. Therefore if you do not want to spend money on transport around the city this is the place to go.

The problem arises when you try to use the wifi within your room and are asked to pay around 400,000 Vietnamese dong for 24 hours. In this day and age when wifi is easily available for free (especially in HCMC) I find it astonishing that the Intercontinental will charge you.

This place was much as one would expect from a chain offering in a major city center. So it had the size and amenities, albeit in the sadly usual impersonal manner. The location was fine though and it suited our needs well

Stayed there in late Jul for business trip and the experience was one of the greatest I have had. Pick up was arranged from airport and upon arrival, I was ushered directly to the room by the service staff. Requested for a change of room due to smoking room given and this request was attended immediately.

Breakfast has nice spread and quality of the food was good.

Hotel was connected via a shopping mall with good range of restaurants nearby.

Gym is small but well equipped. Gym staffs were very friendly and provide assistance readily.

Overall, one of the best experience i have had and will stay there for future travels.

I recently enjoyed a 4 day weekender with friends in HCMC. This was my first visit and I could not have picked a better place to stay. Located in District 1, the hotel is walking distance to several of the key classical heritage sights (opera house, cathedral, post office), luxury and local boutique shopping, and the most trendy food and drinking establishments.

We stayed in an IHG club twin room on level 18. Stunning east-facing room with views of the city skyline and river. The room itself was a study in elegance and understated luxury.

The hotel staff were appropriately attentive and provided an excellent level of service. We made use of the bar (excellent cocktails), spa (indulgent treatments and spa room) and the concierge (booking tours).

Highly recommend.

Thank you very much for staying with us here at InterContinental Asiana Saigon and I am very happy to read that you enjoyed the stay.

From the points you put down, I would highlight the Spa InterContinental. I really believe that we offer the best massages in the city, the girls are true professionals.

Thank you once again for taking time and sending us your compliments, we are very grateful.

I wish you a lovey day and we hope to welcome you back very soon.

Best regards,
