When arriving at the hotel and having to navigate through the streets, I did worry that if we left we wouldn’t make our way back! But it wasn’t too bad with the map provided by the hotel. The streets are fine, there is a morning market – we had a room at the front of the hotel and the noise didn’t travel up. It was great to walk through and see the things the locals were selling.
The staff were all very friendly, ask you to take your shoes off at the front door! But it keeps the place clean as the road outside can become rather dirty at times.
We stayed in a deluxe room which was great. So spacious, very comfy bed and huge, powerful shower and all very clean. The air con did start to leak (well, pour) on our second night, so they tried to fix it, however couldn’t - so they moved us to a room upstairs on the third night as the hotel was empty which was great. We got to leave our stuff in the room downstairs – so essentially had 2 rooms which was a great help with packing to go home.
Breakfast was basic, but it was all you need to set you up to explore the city.
It’s close to some great restaurants, and the circus was in town when we were there which was just down the alley which was great. Very close to lots of tourist offices to book excursions etc.
Definitely great value for money
