There were lots of problems during checkin, the staff asked me to arrive 6 hours later, because my room hadn't been ready. They offered me a discount, which was cancelled later, because I arrived at 5pm instead of 6pm.

Complimentary breakfast is very poor.

Although, rooms are newish and clean and the hotel's location is perfect.

We stayed 5 nights here (pre booked) and it was a most unpleasant welcome to Vietnam. The bedroom was tiny and box like, with stained sheets. The AC unit leaked water all over the floor. The toilet was positioned in such a way that is was very difficult to sit on if you are taller then 5"6'.
For breakfast the first morning I had a stall reheated bread roll with vile margarine and luke warm coffee. The second morning when we came down to breakfast there was no place to sit. They only have seating for about a third of their guests.
Most of the staff do all they can to make you feel unwelcome and are more interested in selling you tours, bus tickets etc. then offering the basic services of a guesthouse.

Clean room, hot shower, friendly staff, and wifi. I was impressed with the room that I got for the price, it was well worth the money. The only item that was an inconvenience was that they needed (wanted) to show my room at 10am (2 hours before check-out) to someone else so I was rushed to tidy up a bit and leave the room while the other travelers looked at it.

Clean and quieter than the other backpacker hostels (set back from the main street). Paid 20 USD/ night in Dec 2011. Really friendly staff and they organised our trip to the Chu Chi tunnels which was excellent. Would recommend, visited as couple.

Room Tip: The AC on the groundfloor room was a bit noisy but they probably fix it.

So wonderful place in good location and lovely staff. They were so friendly and helpful .They showed us everything. One again thanks Eric, Cherry and Jen for your help. The room was clean but bit small. A basic breakfast with break and egg, butter, jam. Some drinks were coffee and tea. However it's ok. If I go back to HCM i will stay here again

many thanks
Don
