“Nice hotel in central location, with friendly staff”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We stayed here for two nights as part of an organised tour of Vietnam.

As the name would suggest it is centrally located and convenient for exploring the city. Our room was well equipped, with a rather funky shower, although a little on the small side (compared with other hotel's that we stayed in).

We only ate breakfast here, but this was adequate, although lacking in choice. The restaurant was a little on the small side. The bar was reasonably priced, although I am not convinced that we weren't overcharged (I intend to email the hotel). You sign for your drinks and are presented with a bill at the end of your stay (you can opt to pay cash). The difficulty of the bill is that you don't get any copies of what you've signed for, and since we were with a group, we weren't about to hold them up when checking out.

The bar staff were very helpful and friendly, remembering what we'd had to drink previously.

The pool area is small but relaxing, with great views off the city - especially at night!

Overall, a nice but small hotel in a central location.

This hotel is a short and pleasant walk from the market, shopping centre and opera house. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and modern although not particularly spacious (not surprising when you see the width of vietnamese buildings) but perfectly well turned out. There was a decent variety of food available to suit any taste but the dining room can be particularly warm and crowded at breakfast time so it pays to avoid peak times. Room service is reasonably priced and good quality with substantial western meal options if you crave something familiar to fill up on. The view from the restaurant on the top floor is great and worth a visit to get your bearings. The pool is also located up on the roof terrace, it was too hot and steamy to sit out for long but offered a little peace and respite from the bustle of HCMC.
slight niggles, we used the stairs on a few occasions and found ourselves shimmying past old furniture stacked up obstructing the staircase (fire escape). The hotel was fully booked and so the 2 small lifts were busy and hot. In addition, we had the aircon turned down to 16 throughout our stay as it was not as powerful as we experienced in other hotels however, this was ok considering the weather.
if you need some supplies, there is a cheap 7-11 store across the road from the hotel.
I would happily visit again and recommend to other travellers.

I stayed there 2 nights. Had requested for 2 single beds but upon check-in, we had a queen bed. As the hotel was fully booked that day, we could only change the next day, which was politely explained to us. Staff were all very friendly and helpful! The staff at the door always help us to cross the road. Crossing the roads in Vietnam is not for the faint-hearted or undecided!

The breakfast area was at the top - and one needed to ascend a short flight of steep steps, so those with difficulty walking will need more help. Spread was somewhat decent and fresh. I did not fancy the pool as it was kind of small. A few pieces of gym equipment were placed by the side. Clearly, there are space constraints here.

Water drained a bit slow at times, so watch out when taking a shower.

The room was clean and nice, as well as the bathroom. It has a pool at the roof, where it was beautiful relaxing at the evenings. The location is perfect, only 5 minutes walk to ben thanh market. The staff was friendly and nice.

It didn't live up to the price. The gym was actually a cable machine in a damp corner near the place they store the dirty towels. The pool was actually a pretty big spa. The room I stayed in was aged. But all in all the staff were very friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay here, I stayed for 2 periods of 3 nights each between tours and found the room to be both clean and secure. I was respectful and cheerful towards the staff who responded the same way and went out of their way to be helpful. One night I had to go out and the shirt I was to wear needed ironing, asked reception and it was ironed within 5 minutes and for no charge. The breakfast was fine and included in the price of the room and great eating places were close by for lunch and dinner. I found the in house restaurant over priced for food and drinks so simply went else where, While traveling through Vietnam I was amazed how rude some tourists are to hotel and restaurant staff, Smile and be polite and give a small tip when some one goes beyond the call of duty and you wont have a problem in Saigon

Staff were friendly and the rooms were very cute and clean. Got a free upgrade which is always a plus. Definitely a nice hotel. The only downside is that if you have time to shop around you can probably find something a little better value for money.
