I echo the other posters in strongly recommending this hotel. The rooms were large, clean, cold and comfortable, and I did not notice a problem with noise (even though I was on the second floor with windows to the street. The location is great, on a quanit alley, within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants (and within a mile walk of all the major sights downtown). Staff were friendly and free breakfasts were good. You can't do much better than this for the money.

My wife booked this hotel for our 3 night stay in HCM. Being both in our 40's and our 1st visit to Vietnam we were not sure what to expect, (booked via Agoda on the net).
I am now aware that it is priced at the 'upper' end of the average accommodation, but still great value.
Bui Vien is the busy backpacker street during the day it is full of shoppers and at night transforms into the busiest street full of street food and pop up bars.
The only problem is avoiding the 'one or two' mopeds!!!
Saigon 3 is tucked down street 27, which is off Bui Vien. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke very good English.
Our room on the 5th floor was very clean and comfortable, with bathroom and usual safe, TV, tea/coffee and fresh fruit and water every day. Breakfast although basic was available at the sister hotel next door. (Try the pho for breakfast).
Taxis are plentiful for trips to the museum/church/post office or market, or you could walk (30 min) if adventurous.
Evening meals are plentiful at the street bars or established restaurants nearby.
Highly recommended. Andy - 49yrs, UK.

We stayed for two nights at the Beautiful Saigon 3 hotel upon arriving in Vietnam and then had a further night there before our early flight back to the UK. The staff are all really helpful, they arranged taxi pick up to and from the airport. The rooms we stayed in, 201 and 501, were both at the front of the hotel but as it is situated off the main drag, it wasn't noisy. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, including hair dryer, toiletries, toothbrush/paste. We were given complimentary water and fruit bowl and although we didn't use the mini bar, it was very reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great location in District 1. My husband left a camera battery charger and photo uploader behind after our first visit, without realising. When we returned, they handed them to him - great service! Highly recommended and go for a massage at their spa - the best remedy after a long flight. I also treated myself to a manicure and pedicure. Excellent.

Room Tip: 201, 501. Large and at the front of the hotel but not noisy.

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh City exhausted after the long flight which starting at middayish and ended, our bodies told us, at midnight, so not good for sleeping, and could not have been better treated and made to feel welcome. The staff were a delight, attentive and informative. They booked us in to a massage which seemed the only rational thing to do at the time. The hotel was very comfortable and extremely well run.

Great little place to stay. Tucked away in a side street however a negative is the side street is busy and noisy, even at night till late. Largeish rooms (for an asian hotel) and clean. We had the room near the street but try asking for a room away in the back of the hotel as it should be less noisy at night.

The restaurant underneath is basic but ok. We were happy enough to eat there every morning.
