Wife and I stayed here last year and again last week as we were passing through Saigon for a few days.
Hotel is modern and clean, bed is exceptionally comfortable, service is courteous and professional.
Wifi was consistently good strength throughout the hotel and in our room - always important these days!
I rarely eat breakfast but was included in our rate so we wanted to make the most of it, I went to town on the pancakes and waffles with chocolate and vanilla sauces whilst the wife looked on in horror and ate her congee and cold meats. The buffet options were really extensive.
Hotel Nikko is definitely the best value 5* hotel in HCMC we've stayed at, in fact probably the best overall as its one of the newest too, others like the Renaissance and New World are starting to show their age by comparison.
The only catch is that this hotel is right on the border of district 1 hence the price/value. It is possible to walk to the centre/tourist attractions (30-40 minutes+) but its not very pleasant on a hot, sunny and humid day so taxis are recommended which will set you back on average 60-80,000VND (3 - $4) a trip. To the airport was 130,000 VND for us.
Looking forward to staying again in future next time to return to Vietnam. Recommended.More
