I travelled with my sister and best friend. Hotel Nikko was one of the hotels that allowed us to have a rollaway bed and 3 people in the room. We were in awe when we stepped into the hotel, greeted by staff who ushered us to the check in counter. The lobby was indescribable, it was clean, minimalistic and classic. The public bathroom on the first floor was just the same. There was also a ATM machine(Vietcom) and a money changer. We were early (check in was at 2pm)so we checked out the adjoining shopping centre NowZone. Food court is all the way to the top of SC. We checked in at 2pm. The carpets on the 19th floor appeared tired, but that didn’t take away at how courteous and helpful the Vietnamese staff were. The bedroom had your usual common accessories and was not cramped at all. Cable TV was handy for us as we could watch the World Cup. Bathroom had a bathtub and a shower recess. My sis and I took advantage of the Ren spa, where an hr massage was approx 1.4million and a 2hr massage and facial was 2.5million dong.can I just say the masseuse I had was fantastic(I wish I had her name cos I had her twice) We also ate in The Lounge where we had beef pho, chocolates and cakes(we tried all the cakes they had on display.). We had complimentary breakfast buffet at the All day dining restaurant on the 2nd floor where they had live station(waffles, eggs, noodles) they had Japanese breakfast cuisine as well. There was a great variety of food, you will spoilt for choices.
I highly recommend this hotel and honestly, even though it is faraway from your popular tourist attractions(we took grabbed everywhere), I will still come back cos of the top notch service.
I already miss you Hotel Nikko

Our Vietnam vacation begins with a stay in the lovely Hotel Nikko, from the front door reception to being attentively served by every well trained staff member we met, that all important first impression was a 10.
We had a large extremely well equipped and brilliantly clean executive level room, this gives access to their club room which was large and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of HCMC.
The hotel is a reasonable distance from the cbd, but offers us a shuttle service and the cabs are extremely cheap.
The Breakfast buffet is extensive and top notch.
A large gym and pool occupied our down time.
Having recently been in Japan, the Nikko made us feel like we were back there.
Would highly recommend this hotel

The room was really nice and comfortable with view of Ho Chi Minh City.

The part we liked the most was the service. The staff was all very polite and smiley. The staff who led us to our room unveiled the curtain and showed us the view, tried to chit chat with us and put on the aircon. After he left, we felt like he was looking for a tip- shouldnt this be expected?

The little box of chocolates after turndown service was very delightful too- it doesnt cost the hotel much but it is able to leave guests with great impression.

The only thing that landed Nikko hotel a 4-point rate instead of 5 is its location. It is not as close to the main attractions as other 5-star hotels. Cab ride only costs about 50-60k VND though and the hotel has free shuttle bus several times a day.

The swimming pool was satisfactory- not very great though with no bottled water available as other 5-star hotels. Water quality was not fantastic.

This is the best hotel I have done everything from the welcome reception to the incredible breakfast service and choice. The bathrooms are the best I have ever seen and complimentary toiletries are certainly worth using.

Customer service was good for me but not my cousin. My cousin is a local and he felt disrespected when he was picking me up from the hotel. It’s a 5 stars hotel by asking for a free bottle of water seems harder than expected.
