Great location in a quiet alleyway / Amazing staff

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Aug 2017
Our last days of holidays we decided to stay in a nice, clean and place to relax after 3 weeks of travelling with motorbikes, train, bus, ferry, bikes, planes, etc etc. We made the right decision: the location was just 5 minutes walking to the main places for eating, drinking or just walk around.
The staff was very friendly and supportive all the time and the room was very clean and quiet, perfect to spend the transicion of the last holidays days :)

I stayed in a single room without a window. Bathroom clean with complete amenities. It also has a small fridge and hair dryer and 32 inch tv with local station only.

Breakfast is continental style: vietnamese dish rice noodle, fried eggs, bread and fruits. Place for breakfast is small cafe downstair accomodates up to 10 people only. They also provide bike rental for 200.000 dong/day.

The hotel is actually in the district 1 and near to every tourist spots in the city. Unfortunately, there's a lot of construction site so they blocked many streets include the way to this place. So its a little hard to find, since its located in the end of the alley. But the great thing is, street food stalls is within eyesight and local market within walking distance.

Dear Rusme S,

Many thanks for your selecting our little Saigon hotel as your home away from home during your vacation in this bustling city and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed completely your stay with us and appreciate our central location.

We do have 3 type of rooms: Standards ( 20 sqm ) - tiny window, Superior ( 22 sqm ) - large window and Deluxe (26 sqm) - private balcony and all rooms with a private bathroom and our hotel was 20 meter tucked away from the main boulevard of Le Loi where you can access any key tourist places by foot.

We will definitely address your comment to the entire team. We look forward to welcoming you back with us soon

With best regards,

John La - Owner

We stayed at the Little Saigon Boutique Hotel for two nights. Our room was on the top floor and had a magnificent view! The room facilities itself were a bit worn down and the room and furniture looked in disrepair. Do not be discouraged by its location at the end of an alley-it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy Saigon. They were unable to help us get a taxi back to the airport for some reason. Perhaps because there is no entrance that meets the street? We easily hailed a taxi ourselves around the corner.

We stayed at the Little Saigon Boutique Hotel in the first week of July. We took the standard room but were initially disappointed to see there were no windows in this room. We still decided to go with the same room, we figured that we will not be spending a lot of time in the room. By and by we realised that it was a decent place to crash for the nights (we spent all the waking hours exploring Ho Chi Minh city). The staff was always helpful with really nice recommendations for restaurants (the 4th floor restaurant across the little quadrangle was superb!!). We took a tour from the hotel to Cu Chi tunnels and that was very well managed as well. All in all we needed some time to warm upto it but all good in the end.

Room tip: Go for rooms over-looking the quadrangle at the entrance of the hotel

Dear Himadri2013,

We are the only hotel on Le Loi Boulevard and just opposite with Takashimaya Shopping Center and just 200 meter away from Ben Thanh market from the left and Opera House from the right if you come. You can notice our Little Saigon horizontal neon sign hung on top of the address: 36 Le Loi's Alley.

We are very delighted to know you left with such a memorable and wonderful impression regarding to our hotel’s facilities, the personalized services of our staff and especially our most central & convenient location.

Again, we appreciated your comment and 4 star rating on TripAdvisor. We are looking forward for your next stay in the future.

The hotel is located off Le Loi and due to building works is rather hard to find. Imagine you are stood outside Liberty Central hotel. Then right then right down an alley where the building works are. You will then see a sign for the hotel around 100m down the alley. You must then turn in to another alley way which will lead you to the hotel. This location is rather inconvenient as you cannot be picked up or dropped off at the hotel, however within Ho Chi Minh, it is a good location as you are only two minutes walk from the Banh market and many of the main sights. The room was very small but clean, and the room service did a very good job of tidying the room. The air conditioning was rather loud which meant we had to keep turning it on and off, and the wifi broke during the last day, however this was not the fault of the hotel. The receptionists were also very kind. Overall, good value for money in a central location. Hard to find and an average room but would recommend for the cost.

Dear Benjamin,

We are delighted that your stay with us has resulted in so many amazing memories and thank you very much for choosing Little Saigon Boutique Hotel as your choice of residence whilst visiting this busiest city like Saigon.

Due to the City Metro's project, The Le Loi Street ( in front of the hotel ) has temporarily blocked all cars coming. Therefore, please alight either at the Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street or Pasteur street just next to the Bach Dang Ice Cream Shop, then walk around 30 meter into our our hotel. You can easily follow our directory sign there. Any assistance, please call our hotel's hot line: 0084-8-3521 8464. We apologize for any inconveniences.

For your own safety, you can either book an airport pick up directly with us or take a reliable cab like: Vinasun or Mailinh taxi from the Airport and remember their cab number in case of any emergency needs. Thank you.

Yours very truly,

This is our second trip to Saigon. We wanted to be close to the markets and the city this time. The location of this hotel is perfectly between the two. The rooms are on the smaller side so if you are looking for somewhere luxurious where you will spend your time in your hotel room look elsewhere. If you want somewhere that has a decent bathroom, big bed to crash at night (or an afternoon nap), friendly staff with a great location this is it. I think the price is about what you would expect to pay for a hotel like this.
We didn't have any breakfast so I can't comment on the food but we ate at a lot of the stalls around the area and it was all delicious. Expect to pay a little more in the Ben Tranh market than you would off the street.
pro tip: Ask the girls at the desk for directions to Tao Dan park and get there before 8am (even better at this time on a weekend). It is about a 10 minute walk away and they not only have delicious breakfast (be prepared to mime and point at whatever delicious thing you want... and then get whatever else they thought you meant) but all the local men bring their songbirds to the park and hang them up so they can sing and interact. It's like a tiny oasis of nature in the middle of a massive city!
