“Ok for 1 night”
Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

Take the advise I took, book for 1 night and then go and find another hotel (ask to see the room).

Room wasn't overly clean, but it was clean enough for a night. Bed was rock solid, seriously like sleeping on the floor. Air com was very good. Fair bit of street noise, and room smelt of cigarette smoke at night. No proper shower, was a hand held in the small bathroom, meant the entire floor got wet. Very very small room if you had 2 people.
As before, ok for 1 night and then go around the corner and inspect other hotels, hundreds around!!
Staff were very nice but tours about 200% to local travel agents!

Brilliant staff who were so helpful throughout all of our stay. Spotless rooms with a nice bathroom. In the middle of a busy district but no noise gets to the rooms so you can have a good night's sleep. Really enjoyed three nights, very good value. Great location, walkable to all HCMC attractions.

We arrived at 9am from Europe and the staff pulled out all the stops to get our bedroom ready by 10am. This was typical of how friendly they were through our 3 night stay. Hotel is in the heart of the bustling backpackers area of District 1 but surprisingly was not noisy. It was very good value for money.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better re noise.

Nice big room, beautiful bathroom, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. They sent someone out to get stamps for me because all the corner stores I visited didn't understand what I wanted - I was very grateful and impressed!

However, the breakfast was very disappointing. They didn't have rice, or fresh fruit, and the coffee was very weak. I complained and they took the cost of the breakfast off my bill, but I made sure for the next 2 days that I booked the room only, rather than the room and breakfast.

Stayed for one night, had booked 2 standard doubles but had one room upgraded on check in to a deluxe (much bigger, with window, bath and extra bed). Very welcoming staff, couldn't do enough for us; turning up with back packs doesn't always mean this! Rooms did have a very toilety smell when we checked in but this was gone later that night. Does stay noisy all night even in no window room, two of the busiest bars are next door and opposite, this didn't bother us though. Room had air con, tv, excellent shower, towels, toothbrushes, shampoo and the worlds smallest hair dryer. In the centre of nightlife and shops. Would recommend.

I stayed here on the very last two nights of my month long trip through Thailand and Vietnam. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the location is in a central location of the city. There is a lot of street activity and loud bars very close, but I couldn't hear anything from the room.

The staff is what made this hotel stand out. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy and even pointed out some great suggestions for what to see, eat, etc. I rented a motorbike right from the desk and they pulled it inside at night to keep it safe.

Those complaining about the lack of breakfast included should hold onto their breaths. Breakfast was 2 dollars, cooked fresh and just steps away from my room.

Thanks Julie and the rest of the staff!
