Very good bed and quiet, only missing free WLAN in the room, recommend an upgrade to executive room in the upper floors including Lounge entry with happy hour from 5 to7 pm. The open top restaurant with bar in the 25th floor and phantastic view over the city.

Booked this Hotel online and can't fault it. Yes, it's in District 5 which we knew when we booked it, but taxis are cheap to get where we wanted to go. Hotel was clean, tidy, friendly staff who treated us like royalty. Booked 2 tours through the tour desk and thorougly enjoyed the Meking Delta day tour with only 7 of us in the group. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious with buffet breakfast mainly focused on asian food, but still plenty to eat. Plaza is good for easy shopping with Kim Trang jeweller, highly recommended. I was advised by hotel staff to not wear my necklace for safety purposes and appreciated their warning and advice. We were on 19th floor and couldn't hear any of the busy traffic outside. Crossing roads is a bit concerning first time but knowing the Vietnamese aren't going to run you over is mind blowing. Not the best area but can't fault the Hotel and staff with the free shuttle service runnung every hour until 11pm every day.

Property: Seems to be a total renovation job, Asian style in layout and feel to a mainland China hotel (may be copied....i had Deja Vu).
Rooms: partially carpeted in Asia style, very clean, bit dark in some respects. Double glazed and cannot hear the billion motorbikes outiside. Huge bed with clean bedding, duvet. 32In LCD TV with plenty of channel choice, some odd things like the master light switch was only accessible from the left side of the bed, and the 3 door wardrobe drove me mad as you couldnt get what you wanted and it kept crushing my clothes
Bathroom: exceptionally clean, decent toiletries and fresh towels. Boiling water with a strong punch, but a bit of a step down from the bathtub from showering
Restaurants: I only tried the breakfast joint on the 4th floor. it didn't change day-to-day, and more items like beans, fried mushrooms etc would be welcome. if you were here for more than 3 days you'd be fed-up unless you are prepared to venture into other breakfast types such as congee or noodles
Facilities: 3rd floor spa/massage, some shops and a supermarket on the g/F but i didn't try them
Location: this was the worst thing about this hotel, it is in D5 far from the tourist and business-friendly D1, and walking around the hotel it was quite awful at night with rubbish around, dull shops and it loked a bit industrial. I could only find a massage shop and KFC nearby.
Overall: tourists are better in D1, a very clean and friendly hotel for business trips, but a bit over-priced in my opinion. worth USD 70

If you have time and energy to spend driving (about 10 mins in free shuttle bus or 45 mins walking) to area around Ben Thanh Market, then you might enjoy this location. The hotel is clean but there are no perks unless you upgrade to a deluxe room. No WIFI, no breakfast. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax and get some fresh air after a day in the busy streets of the city. Staff was friendly enough but they were not very helpful in terms of organizing tours etc. . If you want to feel like you are in the thick of everyday/non-touristy life in Saigon, staying in Cholon provides that. There are no touristy restaurants or shops. Most other tourists are from elsewhere in Asia so even the guests did not speak English, which is sometimes a nice thing if you are looking for some privacy. I give this hotel a 3 because I think your money can go farther in district 1 at a smaller hotel that includes WIFI, breakfast, maps, and help with travel plans to elsewhere in the country as well as tours.

Room Tip: Choose the deluxe option if you want WIFI and breakfast

Thank you for your review, as with all that are given, we look and act upon any negatives. You were not correct about breakfast not included, it is, we would have the largest buffet breakfast in the city.Thank you again.

Stayed there 04/21/2012 with a tour group. Checked in at Ground level rather than on the regular 4th floor. A female receptionist checked our group in and a male receptionist directed us to the elevator. He did not seem friendly at all as if he was irritated with us. It was not what he said but it was the body language. We stayed on the 11th floor. The room is dated and feels a little empty. LCD TV feels small for room. Bathroom tub small and narrow by Western standard. Amenities were adequate. Cheap slippers provided. No free WiFi except for Executive room. It does have a room and jacuzzi on the 24th floor. It is beautiful overlooking the city. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and full of varieties. Hotel is located right next to An Dong market if you want to do some shopping. There is a massage place and cafe across the street. Great access to local life. Overall 4/5 stars. Definitely worst than the Crown Plaze in Hanoi. If you were paying 250-350US for it, then you are getting rip off like the rest of Vietnam.

My husband and I travel extensively, and visit south east asia 2x a year. We have stayed in some of the best hotels, but we were absolutely blown over by the service we experienced at the Windsor Plaza. Well done to the manager and staff - whoever does your training does an excellent job. We were given access to the executive lounge on the 24th floor, which made our stay very special. The breakfast was fabulous - both on the 4th floor and on the 25th floor for executives. The food in the hotel restaurant on the 25th floor was absolutely outstanding. The shuttle service to the centre of town was efficient and punctual. I will most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is very nice, very clean and the gym facilities are okay (lacked a few machines and weights, although the staff said they were on order to arrive). The food was quite nice, and had a wide variety of both western and Vietnamese foods which were all very delicious.
The staff, were by far the best thing about this hotel and mind you this is a 5 star hotel, especially the girl at the front desk whose name was Tuyen I believe. Extremely helpful, very intelligent staff who knew what they were doing.

The one thing I did not like about the hotel however was the internet. They charged for internet which I suppose is understandable in Vietnam for the rooms as everywhere except for Da Nang charged for internet in the rooms based on my experience in Vietnam. HOWEVER charging for internet in the lobby was quite a cheap move on their part which I believe they should immediately change.

Now other than the internet, this hotel is quite impressive. But I must mention that the hotel staff is simply amazing at their jobs, it was like if they already knew the answers to the questions I was going to ask before I could even ask them.

Would definitely recommend a promotion for the staff that were extremely helpful.
Stood here on a business trip for 2 nights, and when I checked out at 2 p.m, they let me use the hotel facilities afterwards at around 9 p.m as I had a very late night flight.
Location was okay, not the best but was okay and there was a shuttle bus every hour to take you throughout the city. There was also a 24hr mini shop next door where you could buy water and other snacks, so that was perfect.

One other critique was that the elevators took a bit of a long time to reach the hotel floors, but I am seriously nitpicking here. Also the flashing lights to indicate the elevator had reached your floor was very hard to see, again seriously nitpicking here.

I would/am definitely going to be staying here again for my second trip which is going to be later this month (Can't seem to stay away from Vietnam, it's an awesome place especially Danang, whose beaches remind me more of the Caribbean than the Caribbean itself [and I am from the Caribbean LOL] )
