“Affordable and convenient stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Finding a affordable and reliable hotel stay in District one is not easy as some hotels which are not well known in the world are quite dangerous.

This hotel, everything is great for me and my travel mate.

Location
Right smack in the middle where all the action is (near ben than market)
just by going left is where all the tourist area are, all in walking distance)
Famous disco club just opp.

Service
Package: They have excellent tour package. Reliable, safe and dont milk tips. Its expensive but safety is my utmost concern.

Reception: They are super friendly, attentive, booking all kind of services. I wanted to watch a play and they told me they could buy it for me instead of having to buy myself. (i din wanted to go online because of the currency exchange).

Bell boy: remember all customer face.

Rooms
Spacious, clean, king size bed. City view. (sorry peeps forgot the room number) Only the left hand side of the building has unobstructed city views.

Breakfast
The usual toast and some local food. More variety on weekends

Negative
I was there for 4 days, and electricity was cut off once awhile during the night time. Lucky i was tired enough so din really bother much.

all in all, this hotel is reliable and affordable. Instead of spending on a prestigious hotel, i could use the spare cash to go for my tours!!! XO tours!!!

Room Tip: dont take rooms near the lift as the walls are not that thick to block noises.

I only stayed here one night on my way out of vietnam but was impressed by the place. My room was really comfortable with a huge bed and good air con.
The breakfast was fine and on the 11th floor giving great views of the city.
Its bang in the middle of the action areas of district one yet quiet in the room

The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff and breakfast were very good. The Ben Thanh Market, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Peoples Committee Building, Post Office and Opera House, War Remnants Museum are within walking distance. The hotel's tours are more expensive than the travel agencies on Pham Ngu Lao Street.

Enjoyed my stay here. From the moment I reached the hotel, the service provided has been top notch. It is located at a very convenient location - near Ben Thanh Market, relatively near Opera House. The buffet breakfast was decent with a good variety, offering both Vietnamese and international options.

From the minute we arrived we were impressed - we were upgraded to an deluxe suite to celebrate our special occasion! Always a great sign when staff care enough to upgrade you. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful.

The room itself, which was located on the 5th floor, was really big, and had a massive bathtub complete with jets etc. This was very welcome after a day of sightseeing in hot Ho Chi Minh City! Bed was comfortable, WiFi was so-so, the breakfast had a huge variety although not everything was that appetising (the pho was very good, though). Location is excellent - just ten minute walk away from the main market, as well as loads of bars, restaurants etc.

But the staff are definitely what made it for us - they genuinely cared and even let us take a shower in the spa after we checked out and before our flight to make sure we felt refreshed before our travels. Would definitely return.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

We stayed at the Paradise Saigon Boutique Hotel for 4 nights this April. Initially, we were quite pleased with the location in District 1 and the warmth of the staff welcoming us. The room was not what was shown on the internet, although perfectly adequate for the amount of time we spent inside. Breakfast was good...efficient, tasty and good choices. Our issue, however, is a touchy one. During our stay at the hotel there was a very brass, crass, North American man who kept bringing 'ladies' into the bar, up to his room and then to breakfast the next morning, loudly explaining to the young ladies that Vietnamese food was also available. He was very blatant and rude to the staff and treated the staff with absolutely no respect, winking at the manager and punching him in the arm. We spoke to the staff members who unfortunately had to deal with this person and they were, of course, very discrete in their responses to us. On a brighter note, Jenny at the front desk is a charm. She booked us on the Mekong River Tour for Monday and literally ran up to us when we came back from the tour to find out if we had fun. Bell boys were also great and helpful obtaining cabs and negotiating prices for us. Too bad Mr. Red Hat (which he always wore) tainted our stay.
