“A Pleasant Stay”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights, the rooms wre good and clean as it should be for a new hotel. The breakfast was very good and location excellent. The staff are well trained and always have a smile on their faces. I would recommend this hotel as a very good base to explore Saigon. The only downside is the quality of wifi.

For our trip to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City was our arrival and departure destination and our stay at Paradise Saigon was perfect for both occasions - extremely helpful and welcoming staff when we arrive dazed and confused from the flight :-D .... and extremely relaxing and comfortable rooms for the final night of the trip before flying home.

On arrival the bell boys and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful for everything we needed. Phoung was really great, she remembered I had emailed in advance with a few requests so she helped us to book our sleeper bus to Dalat directly with the bus company and organised us some tours. We went on 2 of the tours that were on offer at the desk including the Les Rives Mekong delta trip which was a highly professional and luxury experience, well worth the money - paid directly to the tour company, same price as their website - this is not a hotel that charges a higher price for tours to make profit. So top marks for the tour desk :)

We were very pleased with all amenities of the hotel - The choice of food at breakfast is exceptional, there is a sauna and Jacuzzi of which we got a free ticket to use during each stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, all fittings and fixtures in the room and bathroom are clean and modern, the air con is faultless, and the location is perfect - we could walk everywhere including to the reunification palace, the war museum and the market.

And finally, all the staff were excellent. Sorry that i cannot remember all their names. On arriving for our second stay they seemed genuinely glad to see us again and being Olga's birthday they greeted us with a cake shortly after check in. During both stays, our departures were in the evenings and the staff allowed us to leave our bags and come back to the hotel and take a shower before getting the bus / plane.

Really glad we chose to stay here and would definitely stay here again.
Highly recommended.

It is a descent hotel with quite nice amenities and friendly stuff,... BUT they write down your credit card info incl. CVV code, card number and expiry date during checkin. This is totally unacceptable and you should not let them do that, someone easily can steal your money, as they just write it on a piece of paper next you your name and there is no way your personal data is being protected. They say, that it is purely for verification purposes, but do they think we're stupid of what? this is done to protect their interest if you break something in the hotel, and this is not right way to do that.

Room Tip: go to the sky bar in nearby high building, it's very cool way to have a drink with the nice view...

Dear EGOR S,

First of all, thank you for your feedback about the incident that happened with you and please accept my sincere apologies.

Regarding your issue when check in, as you have travelled a lot around the world we sure that you understand policy and regulation from each particular country must be complied. Unfortunately, it’s procedure for hotel in Vietnam that scans of credit card information is needed , exactly information which receptionists are following were explaining to you upon check-in, we also wish if we are able to cut it out for our guest’s convenience. But we assure to you that all guest’s credit card information will be terminated upon check out for security purpose.

Finally, I would like to apologize as well as we look forward and appreciate to your kind tolerance. This is also a chance for me to review and improve our service standard.

I'm extremely pleased with choosing this hotel for my first stop in Vietnam! The facilities are top-notch - the rooms are very modern and clean! I stayed on both the 10th and 8th floors. I frequented the hotel restaurant on the top floor, which has a great view, a few times and was very satisfied with each meal. The wait staff was very attentive! The central location of this hotel is also great, my friend and I had discussed how we had ventured in just about every direction.
One minor consideration is that the pictures for the Paradise Suite online didn't exactly match the room we were given. So I would suggest to see the room first! However the front desk staff was very accommodating when we asked to switch rooms.
Very well done, you will not be disappointed!

We traveled as a couple to Saigon for 3 days. Here's a review of our experience:

Location - The hotel is right along the same street as Ben Tahn Market - one of the best shopping areas in Saigon. It was very conveniently located, also nearby Le Loi road and Saigon Square 2, another shopping mecca.

Food - Breakfast buffet was good, serving a nice variety of dishes. The Pho was excellent.

Service - The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. They gave us good tips and reminders when venturing out to see the city.

Room - We booked a Deluxe Room which was well furnished, and very comfortable. The bathroom was great and spacious. Perfect economical hotel room. Great value for money.

Issues:
1. Taxi drivers will rip you off. Make sure you read the meter cost correctly. Most cab fares start with 11,000 or 12,000 Dong. Do NOT ride taxis which are not metered. Do not negotiate with taxi drivers. Cost from Airport to hotel should be max 200,000 Dong. If you paid more than that, you just got ripped off big time. Taxi drivers in this city are generally NOT honest.

2. Dirty restaurants - Some cockroaches and bugs are to be found inside restaurants in Saigon city. Food is relatively cheap and clean but being a poor city, cleanliness isn't all that great.

3. There isn't much else to do in Saigon city apart from shop and visit the War Remnants Museum. Must do.

4. There is a serious language barrier in this city. People do NOT speak English nor do they understand English apart from the front desk staff of your hotel.

We are not inclined to return to Ho Chi Minh city. However, Paradise Saigon was a great hotel to stay.

Room Tip: Deluxe Room has best value for money.

I stayed here for 3 nights. I really love this place. the staffs are so friendly and accommodative. they helped us with the tours and I must say that the tour packages here are cheaper than those offered outside. it is convenient with few restaurants nearby. a walking distance to bien tien market and also to few other places. even though it is centrally located, it is away from the shoppers. not so crowded at all and you can enjoy your cup of coffee or tea by the roadside, in front of the hotel. it is so convenient to get a cab from here as the staff will assist you to get one. they will tell you the price so that you know you won't get cheated by the cab drivers. upon check in, they will give u a map so that you won't get lost while walking. they will also advise you on what you should do and shouldn't do while being in the city. I really love this place. the room is kinda small but very clean. the breakfast is bearable. if I were to be in Saigon, I will choose this place again. thanks for making my stay such an enjoyable experience.

Room Tip: try to get the room at higher floor so that you can go to the diner fast. the lift is a bit slow.
