What a great place to stay. The staff here can honestly can not do enough for you.

We arrived very early at around 9am after getting a bus from Ninh Binh. Immediately we were offered a cold juice and fresh fruit. They also served us breakfast while we waited for our room (free of charge) since we paid for one night with breakfast. We got one night and two breakfasts.

It is so refreshing to stay somewhere were their first priority is service and keeping the customers happy over money.

The rooms are spotless, cool aircon and comfy beds. I loved that each time we arrived in the reception from the crazy heat we were offered as many cold juices that we could drink! It was amazing!

Stay here and don't miss out. We only stayed one night and it has left such a great impression.

We arrived very early at 5.00 am on the overnight train from Nha Trang and when we approached the hotel from the train station side we were a little concerned. It looks a little run down from the outside and there were motor bike showrooms and other commercial uses around it. First impressions were not good. However, how wrong we could be. We were immediately greeted with a smile and an 'anything we can do for you is no problem' attitude, which was just perfect. Our rooms were obviously never going to be ready at such an early hour and we also wanted to get off to travel north to the DMZ. This was quickly organised for us and at a very good rate. Whilst waiting for our private car to arrive, which I understand was the brother to one of the managers, we were treated to a simple but delicious fried egg breakfast on toast, fruit and some delicious coffee. By 7.30 am we were on the road heading north at a very reasonable price. On our return, late afternoon, the rooms were ready and we were just behind reception on the ground floor. Decent rooms which were clean with a large comfy bed and all the facilities you needed, especially the very good hot shower. The reception area and breakfasting area was just right. The furniture was a bit on the old side but this just added to the feel of the place and to sit quietly for a while and read some of the letters they had received from previous guests from all over the world was a delight, and very informative, even if they didn't seem to display any that didn't like the Jade Hotel. All during our stay, which was just one day and night, the staff were attentive and if we wanted anything then nothing was too much trouble. The best part was also the location. On our arrival we had approached the hotel from the more commercial side, but little did we know it stands at the top end of the best bars and restaurants area in the town. Literally only a few metres out the front, turn right and it's like you're in a different place. We had a great wander down the street towards the river area and all the activities that go on there. Absolutely spot on. Next morning we were away early and the staff were superb once again organising a cheap taxi to the train station. Thanks Jade Hotel you were superb.

Room Tip: Even though we were ground floor behind the reception we didn't hear any noise and had a great n...

We were greeted at the door with a mango juice even we didn't have any reservation. The room was nicely decorated with rose petals on the bed! Air con working great, tv with loads of channels, which is sometimes desirable to wait until the heat outside cools down. Breakfast was fantastic with tasty pancakes, omlettes, soups to choose from and juices, fruitshakes, coffee, tea, whatever you like. Everything was yummy! The best though was the staff who just couldn't be more lovely and helpfull! We would definitely come back there if we are back in Hue and recommend it to all travellers.

My friend and I are travelling around South East Asia and this place has been absolutely perfect for our Hue explorations. The staff are the keystone to this establishment. My friend fell ill on the first day here and was taken to hospital, accompanied by a male staff member who's name eludes me. He was so helpful at translating and waited with us for a good couple of hours until he was discharged. Amazing service. Couldn't recommend it more.

For the very cheap price, the rooms are good. But the bathroom's are small and shower water covers the entire floor. Air-con was not very good, but hotel staff happily gave us an electric fan to help keep us cool! If you can afford something a bit more expensive that the $12 rooms here, that would be wise, as Hue can get painfully hot. Walking up the 4 floors was not ideal, so we recommend a lower room. Breakfast's were very good and the staff here are very nice. But please do not book a day tour through the hotel. We had a very bad experience which ruined our only day for sightseeing. Boat day tour was expensive and badly organised. The staff did give us a refund, though. You can book waaaaay cheaper tours (and better) through the travel agencies (lots around). Also book your journey onwards through a travel agency (i.e. bus to Hoi An, Hanoi, etc) as these are cheaper, too.

Room Tip: We stayed in the top floor, room 401. Walking up the 4 floors was not ideal, so we recommend a lower...

Service far exceeds what you normally get for this sort of price, which is the hotel's best feature. Even after we'd checked out - we had several hours before our train left - we were always warmly greeted with fresh juice or cold water whenever we entered the building. The room itself was on the small size but big enough, bathroom simple but everything worked. On the ground floor there was an additional door/partition so we couldn't hear any noise from the reception & breakfast area. Convenient to walk to restaurants. Strongly recommend this property.
