Well worth a stop while one is in Hue...fascinating pagoda but outdoor area is lovely especially the pond with the water lilies (I think that was the flower we were seeing!). Hint -- it is easier to enter from the rear and exit from the front especially if you don't like to ascend rather steep stairs.

This is a very nice historic pagoda in Hue about 1 KM from center of Hue. I took a cab and walked back to my hotel. The pagoda has a community of monks and lay people so you can see Vietnamese Buddhism in practice. It was damaged during the war. Lord Buddha statue is new and was cast in 1966. A must visit for Buddhists.
