The design of this resort makes for a most peaceful experience. Swimming in the pool is almost spiritual. The rooms are beautifully furnished with breathtaking bathrooms. An appointment at the spa left us feeling like we were floating on a cloud. The Tour Manager tended to our every wish with enthusiasm and creativity. A cooking lesson was lots of fun and performed in a most peaceful setting
The food in the restaurant has been "westernized", losing some of its vietnamese spice.

Room Tip: Rooms near the lily pond have the added feature of "barking" frogs

My name is Wolfgang a world traveler from Germany!
We stayed for 2 nights at the Pilgrimage Village and really enjoyed our stay a lot!
The resort is come a bit in its age but the garden and pool area is really nice.
You expect a nice breakfast as well as a nice dinner at a very clean and friendly restaurant.

The over all service is shining out in partiqular at the reception answering all questions organising the trips - the team is really helpful:

Trang,
Quynh Thu,
Nguyen Phuong

and finally Huong made our stay so warm and enjoyable!

We recommend the Pilgrimage Village to our international friends!
All the best to the team

Maret, Heidi, Wolfgang and Thomas

Room Tip: We stayed at the Villa for some additional price. It is a large room and large bath. All you need...

I don't think I can add more to what others have already commented about. After a week in the Central Vietnam area though, this was absolutely my favorite hotel of the whole bunch. We left with that special feeling that not every hotel, even in Vietnam, can leave you with. We kept comparing it to another wonderful higher-end resort in Bali because of it's hill location/layout, which says something!

Pros
-Staff. Incredible, friendly, attentive but not too intrusive. They helped us set trips up, cars (free shuttle into town) and anything else we were curious about.
-Pool.
-Spa. Very affordable and such attention to detail and design. Really surprised at how beautiful it was.
-Grounds/landscaping were gorgeous.
-Free yoga (no one came so it was a private class everyday!)
-Shampoo. Silly, but it was some of the best hotel shampoo/conditioner I've ever had. It is 'Hue' shampoo which is black and weird looking but made my hair feel amazing after. WIsh I could take the whole container home.

Cons
-Wish there was one other dining option on the grounds...but so minor because everything was so close.
-Location? We loved it, but others might not want to be away from town. Cabs were never an issue to grab if you didn't catch the shuttle.

Overall would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: The villas looked really pretty, but even the 'standard' room was quite large and had a nice...

We thought this the best hotel during our trip in Vietnam. Outside the town set in the jungle and brilliantly landscaped. We have been impressed throughout Vietnam by the friendliness of the people, but this resort surpassed even those high standards, with all the staff seemingly delighted that we had come to stay with them. No criticisms at all.

not enough for excellent
nice room, simple and minimalistic, a little dark, especailly in the bathroom... a little loud when somebody is in the unit above your room because the construction is solid brick and concrete, stone floors no carpets (which is nice but eventually loud)

pool is beautiful, gardens very nice...

service is good

breakfast could offer a little bit more...
main restaurant for dinner was good, nothing special...

in the end a nice choice for a good price... we will remember the pool

Room Tip: not ground floor but 1. floor

We stayed at the Pilgrimage Village for our honeymoon. It exceeded expectations for us, we stayed in a honeymoon villa which was amazing and the photos on trip advisor don't do these rooms justice, they are unbelievable. We loved the outdoor shower and the huge bathtub which was filled each night with petals for our honeymoon. Mai at reception was so attentive and helpful. She made sure we had a wonderful honeymoon at the Pilgrimage Village. She organised everything for us from tours to what time we wanted our bath filled with petals and wine to celebrate our honeymoon. She really went out of her way for us. The other staff at the hotel were all so friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle bus to get into town and back which was great. We would recommend this resort to anyone especially anyone wanting to celebrate a special occassion

Room Tip: It is worth upgrading to a honeymoon villa

A very nice place to stay in Hue. maybe the best. Its a little bit outside Hue but the offer Shuttle Busses. The Hotel has very good staff and a very good restaurant. Price is reasonable. Bar and Swimming pools are suberb and beatiful. The Hotel is also near to the historic tombs and can be reached by private car which can be booked at the hotel as well.
