“Serene stay”

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a beautiful property. The room was huge and very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The morning yoga class is a terrific way to start the day. The breakfast is great and the restaurant is very good but pricey. The only negative is the pools were not overly clean and the property is VERY large. I would totally recommend this property to anyone.

Spent a few days with kids. Loved the lush garden + magnificent pool area. Staff was by far the best we have ever seen in Vietnam. The rooms (connecting) were huge. Perfect place for relaxing after exploring the tombs and the city.

Three weeks and six hotels in Vietnam and this was simply the best surprise. By no means, the most expensive, about $83 per night, it was the most charming and relaxing of environment. Located about 4-5 miles south of downtown Hue, we arrived late in the evening to be greeted, as in most nice hotels with moist towels and juice while checking in. The staff were the most outgoing and polite that we have met and if you've traveled in Vietnam, you know that's saying something! The rooms were huge and open with vaulted ceiling, a balcony in front and back with fables, chairs and a lounge. They were open late to feed us a delicious supper and the next morning we had the pleasure of walking through the splendid, beautifully manicured, lush, tropical grounds, courteously greeted by every staff member we happened upon, to a lovely breakfast. We had a busy day and had to go but later on, strolled the entire place to see the most tranquil spas, swimming pools, workout room, replete with free morning yoga, tai chi and meditation classes. Had we the chance to plan our trip over again, we would dedicate a lot more time to this lovely retreat. For any long trip, we like some intense activity and some down time. This will be our down time relaxation should we have the good fortune to return to Vietnam.

Room Tip: Perhaps a second floor room to enjoy the balconies.

We could not be more happy with our stay here. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIP guests. The grounds are quite extensive and at every turn we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly hellos. The rooms are extremely spacious - our room was half the size of our 2 bedroom London mews flat! The breakfast buffet lacked nothing...everything fresh and varied. All of the staff, without exception, made us feel special. We made use of the spa...brilliant. The meals that we had at the hotel were all fantastic...nothing was ever too much trouble for them to do. The architecture, polished wood floors, marble floors and walls, huge balcony with large rocking chairs and a lounging bed....everything to make your stay comfortable. And, do I dare mention, that the gift shop was also fantastic! We would definitely return.

Beautiful lush tropical gardens, stunning architecture, delicious buffet breakfasts... but it is the staff who make this resort so special. Every staff member greeted us and wished us a pleasant day with a genuine smile and nothing seemed too much trouble. While we understand this resort (and the sister resort of vedana, which we are currently staying at) are vietnamese owned and operated, they are on par or better than many international brands....again because of the first class service provided by the staff. My partner is vegetarian and wanted some vegetarian french onion soup after a cold day on the back of our motor bike and even though it wasnt on the menu (normally a beef stock), the waiter consulted with the chef who offered to make it especially from scratch and bring it to our room....situations like these occurred throughout our stay and we felt like special guests....we imagine though that this is the norm here. Well done to the staff....your management must be very proud of their team. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The facilities are very nice, although they look better in their website. Rooms are nice but could be a bit cold in the winter (we had to ask for a heater in both of our rooms). The real problem is the food, it is sub-standard for Vietnam. The New Year's dinner was abundant but of very poor quality - it was really hard to find something tasty. And their breakfast is just average.
Service was OK.

Room Tip: Look for second floor rooms, preferable looking to the pool and pond.

This was a very special stay for us - honeymoon and Christmas. None of the staff knew we were on honeymoon....not that this mattered because we were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Arriving at night, we were blown away with the beauty of the fairy lights in the trees and the smell of essential oils in the air. We were then offered a delicious mug of ginger tea and for anyone who has been to Vietnam, you know that this is a must! The staff were so genuine and clearly had a passion for meeting new people. They helped organise further transport on our tour of Vietnam which removed any stress from us. Our room was outstanding - with silk kimonos and an array of luxury bath products, you felt like you were already in the spa. Again, the room was filled with the scent of essential oils. Arriving on Christmas Eve we were invited to a celebratory dinner - beautiful food, great atmosphere! Later we had complimentary mulled wine and cookies! Every evening, we were delighted to receive a local fairy tale on our pillow! Truly delightful and made us smile!!! We loved our stay here.
