I recently stayed at the Imperial for three nights. My corner room, on the 10th floor, had two panoramic windows with incredible views over the Perfume River. The room was decorated with lovely dark oriental furnishings. The bathroom was huge, with a separate shower and a bath. The bed was large and very comfortable. My only surprise was the older style TV, not flat screen that I had encountered everywhere else on my travels. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety but it seemed to lack 'pizazz' but staff there were friendly and obliging. Staff overall were welcoming, particularly the girls on the Tour/Travel and Sales desk. There are a couple of restaurants in very close proximity, even the Mandarin Cafe whose reputation seems to have been spread far and wide. Mr Cu says he has been in his restaurant for over 20 years! The Japanese restaurant almost at the end of the hotel's driveway was fabulous and ate there two consecutive nights, one because the food was so good, secondly because it was during a day of torrential rain and it was too difficult to go further afield. I am unsure if I would return to Hue again, but if I did, I would definitely stay at the Imperial again.
