Owner description: We offer a Half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience and a must do for someone looking for variety to their trip to Nha Trang and something a little different. It involves travelling to the local market in a cyclo, a guided tour of the marketplace, where people get involved in learning about the local food and buying the ingredients for your meals. You then return to the restaurant where you prepare 3 dishes as chosen by the guests and of course enjoy eating what you have prepared.

“Great introduction to Vietnamese cooking”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Having read some reviews before we travelled, I booked this cooking class in advance of our visit to Nha Trang. The visit to the market was very interesting and informative, and I found it helpful going around with some one (Nam) who was able to answer any question asked. In the class we made fresh spring rolls, fish in a clay pot and banana flambé - Nam's demonstrations and instructions were very clear. The class is kept small, which is an advantage over many of the classes offered elsewhere. Even my husband, who isn't big on cooking, enjoyed the class! We got to eat the food at the end of the class and I believe it's a result of the Lantern recipes and Nam's helpfulness which meant they tasted as good as they did! A definite recommendation. (And if you need a restaurant to eat at, I'd recommend Lanterns as the food there was the best meal we had in Nha Trang!)

“Nah Trang Food Tour”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Lanterns cafe runs a 2 hour (3pm - 5pm) walking food tour on every day
on demand, min 2 persons, (200000 dong or $10) . One of the waitresses was the guide and it was fantastic experience. She was a great guide ensuring the tour takes in some of the best
street food in Nha Trang. The tour
had a very good cross section of foods all on the pavement. alongside
locals. Nothing pretentious or altered for tourists. Not to be missed if
you like Viet food and no untoward side effects afterwards. Included in the price was a drink at Lanterns afterwards.
