We arrived on motorbike and went here first with a plan to check out different hotels. We were offered their last room, a deluxe, for $25 and given the heat, decided to take it. We were on the third floor which was a bit of a climb but meant we could see the sea at least. The room was large and had some oldskool panelling and all the usual features of a budget hotel. Everything was great (quiet, short walk to the beach, friendly staff) but the breakfast menu was a bit limited and in the Kirin restaurant over the road. I ended up going traditional with squid soup but my girlfriend had bread and jam which turned out to be a cheap roll with one lump of runny jam. Hardly worth crossing the road for.

Room Tip: Higher up is quieter and with rooms of the sea (from the hallway anyway).

Service was great! Got to see the rooms, which are all extremely clean and got a good discount. Bathrooms could use a facelift, but were clean and everything worked as it should. When we had to leave earlier then expected everything was done to be of help to us. They know hospitaliy like no-one else!

I'm no fan of Nha Tran, it's a confused place. However The Perfume Grass was a welcome retreat. Very clean, friendly and extremely good value for money. This is a great place for those who want to revisit their slightly more parsimonious days- but not too much. On saying that, it's a tidy place with fantastic breakfast and a good bar.

Our room was very clean, spacious and was great value for money. We managed to get a great deal on agoda. The service was exce;;ent and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a laundry service available for 20000 a kg, so we were able to wash all our clothes for $4. The breakfast was avilable with a voucher given to us for the restaurant across the road. Thye options were limited but adequate.

As true fans of Lonely Planet this was our first choice o in Nha Trang, as it was highly recommended. Big mistake.
The staff were indifferent, though the hotel was almost empty. We were offered a room with a window facing the hallway (but an open one) with private bathroom. The price was about 20$. One thing we didn't compromised about was hot shower. They said they have hot water. The room and the price were fair so we took the room and tried to turn on the hot water. 15 min wait - and nothing. Wen't downstaris (from 3rd floor) and were told to turn on some kind of switch, again 15 min no hot water. went again - the receptionst again mummbled something about a switch (whitch we already turned on). After two more attempts, we decided to give up. Took our bags and went downstairs, weren't even offered a different room or help. We went away and as we were walking around we found out two things:
1. There is a construction site right next to the hostel with hideous noise all day long. Thy didn't mention it (we came early before they started).
2. 20$ is very expensive for that kind of lodging in Nha Trang at that time.

This is yet another example of smugness and ingratefullness after recieving a good review in Lonely Planet. Hope people will read this review and stay away until they will improve their attitude.
