We booked 2 nights on a hostel website in this hotel because our friend also booked a room. Unfortunately, our bus had a 3 hrs delay. When trying to call them there was no connection because it looks like the number is 1 digit short. We text our friend to tell them about our delay and he confirmed that they said it would be fine.
After arriving they looked at us very shocked and told us that we were late and they have given our room away! Even with a partial prepayment that we did!
The conversation was not easy because they didn't speak English. But they called somebody and we solved this somehow. They gave us a single room for the first night on the top floor (can't remember if it's the third or forth floor). Since all the hotels in Nha Trang was fully booked according to internet searches, we accepted and they promised that we can move the next day.
This room was really bad. It was tiny, there is a strong moldy smell. The broken bathroom door window was fixed with scotch tape, but they also taped a dead spider on it.
Anyways, after we moved the room the next day, it was better. It was a big 3 bed room, pretty clean and didn't smell. Everything was very basic, but it was ok.
The staff was very nice and they appologized several times.
We liked Nha Trang and wanted to stay longer, but they were fully booked.
When we checked out for the hotel across the street, the owner came to us giving us 2 big bottles of water saying "free.. free"
That was very nice.
We would rate this hotel around 2.5/5 just because of the trouble we had. If it was only the second room, a 3/5 is appropriate.

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the beach and the mall, some 10 mins to the street with a lot of bars.

Room Tip: Avoid the top floor

This hotel is not quite what the business card shows but it is a fair guest house. Breakfast was included but due to communication difficulties it took a little time. The rooms are very old fashioned, equipped with Carebear quilts and shower over toilet - meaning the bathroom was always soaked after showering. Towels were also due for disposal. There also always seemed to be a flurry of family, friends, and scooters in the small lobby. Highly recommended for short stays, great location to beach and restaurants.

I found this hotel on a normal hostel website. It was fairly inexpensive, and close to the beach. The people working seemed to be a family, who didn't speak much english. But they were very kind and accommodating. They helped me rent a bike for the few days I was there. The rooms are also pretty nice. Nothing fancy, but clean and a private bathroom. I would recommend this place over other places as it is inexpensive and close to the beach.

The Kim Uyen hotel is clean and friendly and good value for money. The main girl who works on reception is very helpful and it felt safe with added bonuses such as A/C, private bathroom and cable tv.
I stayed during a festival and the hotel seemed to be mainly Vietnamese tourists and the hotel is close to the beach, but about 15-20 minutes walk (and I walk fast - I'm a Londoner!) from the restaurants and bars (including Vietnamese). Would potentially reccommend looking for somewhere slightly closer to teh action for solo travellers but it was a nice place to stay.

My partner and I arriveed in Nha Trang at around 10:30pm and was greeted by a gentleman from the Kim Uyen hotel (as promiced) which was a good start, furthermore, he arranged a taxi for us to follow him on his bike and then paid the taxi driver when we got to the hotel.

We originally booked 3 nights at this hotel but ended up staying 5 nights as it was just really clean and the staff were really lovely. Anything you wanted they couldn't help you enough, nothing was ever too much trouble.

On the morning we left they gave us 2 big bottles of water as a thank you for staying with them, I was really touched by their kind gesture. They also chased up our bus by ringing the company on our behalf twice; when the bus did finally arrive, they stood by the door and waved us off!!

It's also in a great location, literally 5 minutes from the beach. They also have a tour desk to help with any tours/transport you want arranging.

We were on an overnight bus from Hoi An to Nha Trang and the bus driver took us here (He was taking the passengers to numerous hotels and I am assuming it was because he got commission). The room was $7 for our 3 beds. They charged us $2 extra per day for the air conditioner.

While the hotel had an excellent location for the price (2 blocks from the beach), I was not pleased with not having our room cleaned daily and not having fresh towels. Towels are so scarce there!!! Also, our tub did not have shower curtain so water was splashed EVERYWHERE in the bathroom so water was consistently on the floor every time we used the restroom! It just got so disgusting that we left to get a fresh hotel room.

It did have a 13" (?) TV with cable, a small fridge that was below it and it was quiet (We stayed in Room 101). There are no elevators so we were glad to be on the 1st floor. There are 2 computers downstairs. Other than that, bring your own towel if you are coming here!
