I haven't been to the US to have tried real American donuts, but the ones available in Yum-Yum donuts in Yerevan are just great to me. The sandwiches are also good, as well as the selection of beverages. This is a fast food place so it's self-service. We were happy to see the familiar title/cafe in Dubai with my husband as we were looking for a place to have a cup of coffee with smth sweet and have some rest. The quality was the same even in a different country. I love to go there from time to time for a quick lunch with my colleagues and/or friends or use their delivery service to have lunch and a sweet bite in the Office (the delivery is expensive, though, for such a small city center, like in Yerevan). As free wi-fi is available the place is becoming more and more popular with young people for their get-togethers.

As Yerevan doesn't have much choice in the morning, this place is considered a good spot to crash on for breakfast. Their collection of donuts and sandwiches is very good. Personally I love their egg sandwich, and their salads are good.

I should preface this review by saying that Yum-Yum Donuts (or, more accurately Yam-Yam according to the Armenian) would not rate so high in most major American cities, but in Armenia, it was really very welcome. Generally the donuts are comparable with the offerings of the American chain from the Northeast (which I love, btw), but they also have lots of other stuff on offer. I can't speak to the hot dogs, sandwiches, or salads because my wife and I were there for a sugar fix. Her infatuation with Yum-Yum reaches back into the '90s when she worked in Armenia and was first introduced to this yummy hole-in-the-wall. I can say that my apple fritter was fantastic and much larger than any I've had in the US. If you're in Armenia, and you're hankering for a little shot of American decadence, Yum-Yum should be on your list.
