This hostel is gem, located in the centre of Yerevan city. Me and my partner spent in this hostel almost one week and I have to say we would stay longer if we could.
Hostel is located in safe and friendly neighbourhood within walking distance to the Republic square. It's easy to find. Hostel it self is very cosy and clean, simple but you will feel very comfortable. There is two dormitories with comfortable beds and lockers. Living room area is pretty big with comfy sofas and tables where you can hang out with others. If you fancy to cook your own food you can do it in the kitchen where you can find everything you need. Bathroom area is very clean and tidy.
Staff in this hostel is unbelievable friendly and helpful. Well knowledge of area and ALL attractions in Yerevan and outside of the city. Guys in the hostel were always there when we needed any help or recommendation.
This place was a huge surprise for us and we are glad we stayed with them. If I will ever return to Yerevan it will be definitely Yerevan Hostel. Hospitality we experienced over there was just amazing. I know it's only hostel but if I could I would rate this hostel as 5 * Hostel.
Thanks guys again for everything.

I too agree with others that have reviewed' Yerevan Hostel. Great value for the $, all is 'new' in the sense that windows, hostel furniture, kitchen equipment, bathroom facilities AND washer and dryer all work to the standards you SHOULD expect, but don't always get.

When in Yerevan, AND seeking hostel living conditions as you back pack this part of the world, a good stopping off point. WiFi too top notch + flat screen TV in the dining area.

Room Tip: You have 'those close to reception' (one entrance) and those away from reception (another en...

When I read LP, I thought this YH may be dim and dark as is located in the basement. Out of that expection, however, this YH proved to be a well-equipped, spacious, bright, and peaceful place to stay.

I spent the first night at another YH, which was cheaper than this. But it was a nightmare. The prices reflect their values. Staff member are kind and always ready to help. Just 5 minute walk to the Republic square and the Opera House. Many supermarkets nearby.

we stayed here twice, before and after traveling in Armenia. both times we booked an en-suite double. the first one we got was a wood-covered room (you can see photos on the site). it was nice but smelled a little like cigarette smoke, and the bathroom had no window and had a closed-space smell. we only stayed for a few hours as we landed late in the night, so it was OK, but not much more than that.
the second time we got a different and much better room just across the hall. it had a big comfy bed, lots of room, a small sitting area and a great bath.
both rooms where clean.
the staff was great and very helpful.
the breakfast changes every day.it is always a small plate prepared and not a buffet style. we had great days and poor days. the bread always came dry with nothing to put on it.. some butter or jam will make a big difference here.

Room Tip: if you get to pick a room, make sure to smell the bathroom before you make your choice (with the doo...

Great hostel to stay at.. People there were so friendly. They felt more like family than business owners...
Pros: Good location. Good breakfast. Clean. Nice amenities (TV, wifi, computer). Tour organization. Best attribute was the people working there, they were really sweet.
Cons: Bed sheets were a bit short for the mattresses. Wifi didnt reach the dorm room we were in.

I spent a week in Yerevan Hostel in December 2013 and when I went to Yerevan for the second time in February I chose it again because the staff are so nice and it is located in the heart of Yerevan where everything is easily accessible. The price was 4500 DAM per night which is even cheaper than other hostels in Yerevan but really it is as good as the other hostels so if you do not have very high expectations and are not accustomed to 5 star hotels it is an ideal place for you.
