"Current Armenian cuisine", whatever that means! A small - very small - restaurant in Khorenatsi Street, just around the corner from the Best Western Congress Hotel. There were 5 tables and a private room. Decor 'interesting' - a stuffed bear and other animals keep watch over you as you dine. Kitsch artificial flowers abound but add to the 'interesting' atmosphere.
Service efficient but not friendly. Menu difficult to navigate and any requests for help result in recommendations for the most expensive dishes on the menu!
Some meat dishes were tough (Veal). Lamb tender but the salt pot had been thrown in. Armenian cuisine is very salty and this experience was no exception. Drank water throughout the night. Expensive and underwhelming for what you get though did get a complimentary aperitif.
