Description: Welcome to Charles - the cafe and restaurant that is a fusion of Armenian and French cuisines and cultures. Charles is the name of not only the world famous Armenian singer, actor Charles Aznavour, but also many other quite famous French people. We are located at the bottom of Yerevan's most visited sightseeing spots, right in the center of the capital - the Cascade. Here you will find the wonderful and cozy atmosphere you are looking for, blended with exquisite service and quality food. If you are a wine lover, we can offer you a large variety of wines to choose from both from the old world and the new. We also have a variety of Armenian wines that you will be delighted to try, since Armenia is the historic world of winemaking. In our menu you can find both, old traditional Armenian dishes and European unique masterpieces of our Chef. It is our pleasure to mention that our kitchen staff undergoes trainings every 3 months conducted by world famous Chefs that come to visit our restaurant from various parts of Europe. Our one of its kind interior, the live music played in the evenings, high quality service and our welcoming staff will make you feel the Armenian hospitality at its best in every detail. We are glad to offer various lounges and halls in order to suit the needs of all our guests. There are halls for smokers as well as for non-smokers, a lounge bar where you can see Armenian famous paintings and a warm evening sitting room where there is a fireplace you can enjoy while taking your drink. You can even light the fireplace yourself and keep it going by putting more wood in it for the duration of your stay. All this is accompanied with the wonderful sounds of the violin, accordion and the amazing grand piano. In the summer time our outdoor cafe is the place to be. The location, the food and the service leave you wanted to stay longer than planned to enjoy the evening Yerevan and the atmosphere of our cafe.

It's location in cascade area is perfect especially in the summer , you are able to sit outside. Prices are a little expensive but worth it. Staff is very hospitable and friendly. Foie gras is my fav a must try. They are always updating their menu so there is always something yummy to eat.

I been in January with my friends.
We spent very good time. There was very warm atmosphere and very good food. I meet there Chef Daniel from France, who explained me, that in Armenia there isn't fresh seafood, that is why they adopt their menu to Armenia.
When I will go to Armenia, I will visit this restaurant again.

It is a good place for special occasions for couples or to meet friends.
Interior is chic, colors are light and bright, furniture and tablewear - brilliant.

The biggest advantage is the non-smoking area.
Cuisine is excellent - a sort of a mix of French and Armenian dishes. French wine is marvelous!
Service is very good.

There was a piano performance in the night I visited the site. Managers say, they also have violin and accordion players on other days ...

And based on the above mentioned, prices are very high!!! Fillet mignon and cheese plate cost around 9000 AMD each, and these are the average prices.

The place is huge and was almost empty. The interior in each room or 'hall' was different, still trying to sell a 'French experience' without trying to extremely 'overdo' it. Still I felt a bit lost in one of the empty halls.

We have ordered various items and all of them were presented nicely and what is even more important, they all tasted very good. The caesar salad did not have the usual '1 metric ton' of mayonnaise on top and had a tasty dressing, the onion soup was very nice done with a good portion of high quality cheese on top. Also the other items tasted and looked very good.
I specially liked the rather smaller menu therefore rather guarantees high quality and freshness -> exactly what we got.

The service can be improved.

Waiters are rude and acting w/attitude. They were very good at taking not finished food from table :). Hopefully management would find a way properly train serving staff.
