“Bangabandhu Jadughor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Bangabandhu Memorial Museum is also called 'Bangabandhu Jadughor' in Bengali. The correct pronunciation of Bangabandhu is Bongo-bon-dhu. This place is a historical tribute to the funding father of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh - Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - who was cruelly assassinated, together with almost every member of his family, in a brutal military coup. It was the private residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before and after Bangladesh gained independence and was later converted into a museum. This is a place of great veneration and reverence for most patriotic Bangladeshis.

It is a very informative and interesting place with lots of pictures and historical artifacts. Most people take their children and their family to Bangabandhu Memorial Museum to learn the epic history of Bangladesh's creation.

“Its a memoir to Father of Bangladesh Nation”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014

Sheikh Mujibor Rahman, father of Nation was killed brutally by a group of Army personnel of Bangladesh along with his entire family members, except Shiekh Hasina n Sheikh Rehana. The home of Bangabandhu has been transformed to museum. It's a place of sadness, despair, sympathy which now become the inner-power of Bangladeshis. Visit it to know the history of Modern Bangladesh.

“Unexpected gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

I had no idea what this museum was, the driver just took me there and told me to go in. A real piece of history, complete with bullet holes and blood stains… gives you such a good perspective on current politics.
