Check-in was a breeze and the staffs are attentive. Hotel/room is clean and tidy. Stayed in a deluxe king room and it's spacious enough to fit in another king bed or two. Wifi is given free (coverage around the whole hotel), with fast surfing speed too.

Hotel is centrally located, but seems to be not that happening in the night (Gadong might be a better area for night activities). You can easily walk to the nearest mall, Yayasan Complex, but don't expect much to see/shop here, as mostly are just small shops/stalls selling clothing, food and etc. There's a departmental store here too, named Hua Ho.

Apart from that, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is also within walking distance, probably 15-20 minutes away from the hotel. There are some food shops nearby the hotel too, Burger King, Coffee Bean and Singa Chicken Rice. Just opposite the hotel, there's a market/hawker stalls named Tamu Kianggeh.

All in all, a recommended hotel for all business travelers.

While I am giving this hotel an “Average” rating, it is on the higher end of “Average”. The location is central and convenient to most tourist activities. They also have shuttles to/from the big night market. The restaurant in the hotel is very good too. The rooms are nicely appointed and quite comfortable, but they are pretty average in size and amenities. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Wifi is included with the room. Given the central location the hotel is surprisingly quiet. I recommend this hotel and you will not be disappointed with the choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river.

We arrived after midnight. The night check in staff member was nice and made it easy to check in. Our room was clean and comfortable. Right around the corner from the hotel is a market selling fruit, vegetables and other food items.

Breakfast was a mix of hot and cold items both Asian and Western style. It was a good start to the morning.

A short walk away is a mosque and the houses on stilts in the water. It was easy to get around on foot which you want in a country that is humid and hot all the time.

The hotel says the mini-bar is free but there were not many items in our fridge only some peanuts, cream biscuits and two cans of drink. Of course it wouldn't be very cost effective to have too much and it was nice to have these items during Ramadan as there are no food places that you can sit and eat at. There is a kettle in the room and you can order room service as well.

The staff were extremely helpful during our stay and helped us get a taxi to the airport and even gave us a small amount of change as we were short on the taxi fare. Assistance like this goes beyond the duty of hotel staff and was very much appreciated.

Brunei is a place that we would like to visit again in the future for a night or two as a transit and we would like to stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for three nights at the end of June. We had an enjoyable stay. The hotel and rooms were clean and well looked after. The breakfasts were enjoyable. We also ate in the restaurant for a night meal which was good. It is opposite the market (food) and near the river for taxis and close enough to walk around to other shops in the city. No real information available in the hotel about things to do in and around Brunei which would benefit guests. We were made to feel welcome.

Stayed here last July 13-14, 2014...the hotel is located near the market where the floating villagers sell their goods..
our room is at 106..even the hallways is air-conditioned and carpeted..the staffs are mostly filipinos so i feel welcomed..the lobby is modernised and has wifi connections..
it is a 10mins walk to yayasan mall and there are nearby gold jewellers store ..my visit was during the ramadan so most of the shops are closed...our breakfast is either to consume in our rooms or in the secluded area of the hotel as to give respect to muslim people who are observing ramadan..we can only eat dinner at 630pm..even to drink or to chew on public areas is prohibited..i enjoyed bargaining to jewellers as to the craftsmanship of the bangles that i saw are really good..

We enjoyed our stay here thoroughly. It was a clean and well kept hotel, and its location was perfect. Its right across from the river and the market, and only a few minute walk to anything and everything you need. The staff was sooo friendly and helpful - we were always welcomed and looked after. Breakfast was great and offered a good variety of local and western foods. Furniture quality was mediocre, but it looked great and passed the test of a few nights stay ;) I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were all friendly, even going above and beyond to help us when we had a mix up with our itinerary. The breakfast has lots of variety. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night too and dispite being a bit worried when we were the only ones in there, the food was nice. I did order bottled water though and received a glass of water which was warm (presumably it was boiled local water). The air conditioner worked well and the room was fine - comfortable bed and pillows and nice shower. The location is so great - close to a variety of eateries, shopping centre with all you need and walking distance to several tourist attractions. The only reason I would consider staying somewhere else is that the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool. If you stay elsewhere though - you will have further to walk.
