This is a delightful and peaceful place to include on a morning walk. This is quite near to the Royal Palace, so it must get overlooked as it's very quiet and peaceful when you enter. There's no entrance fee and you are free to look around. The monks, some who speak English, were nice to have introduced the upper floor. The place is peaceful and calm.
The building is very old, but well maintained. We really love it.

Thank Tiffany T

If you're passing by stop in but don't go out you're way. You've probably seen 10 or so other ones on you're trip around Cambodia.

We didn't spend long in Wat Ounalom but did get a quick peek at its impressive interior. It was beautiful to see and there were a few monks inside. One of them made an effort to come over to us and spoke English very well. He was very friendly and asked us questions about our travels and answered our queries about the Wat. We even discovered he'd been to Birmingham (where we live) which was very random.
Worth popping in for a quick look.

An interesting wat, right on the river side, but not particularly noteworthy. I popped in briefly while walking, and the location makes that helpful to do, but it wouldn't be a tragedy if you walked past.

If you're passing get your driver to stop. It's worth a look and all are welcome. Be careful of children begging, they are persistent even if you give them money.
