I had a budget room on the ground floor at the back. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I did not find the concrete bed at all uncomfortable due to a very good firm mattress (I do not like soft beds). Breakfast in the morning consisted of fresh fruit, tea or coffee and fresh fruit juice with a choice of pancakes or eggs. The hotel also serves lunch and dinner which, although not cheap by SE Asia standards, was excellent.

Although the hotel is located down a little alley, this wasn't a problem as it helped with quietness and once I had my bearings the alley was easy to find (look for the Alley Cat Cafe sign above the Cambodian People's Party on Street 19 as the indicator that you are nearby).

Very good, terribly polite staff and the manager is absolutely delightful. Although there is no receptionist between 10pm and 6am, there is a security guard on site.

Another bonus is that this hotel does not accept 'sex travellers' which is reassuring for a single female traveller.

Not only would I recommend this hotel but if I was returning to Phnom Penh, this would be the hotel I would stay at again.

Room Tip: Good place to hide is by the pool bar if the city gets too busy for you.

We had a most enjoyable night at the Blue Lime. The pool was a welcome bonus. The surroundings of the pool made you feel like you were at a 5 star resort, far from the hectic city. The waterfront, Royal Palace, and an unending choice of restaurants were all within a short walk. The staff were cheerful with a greeting each time you passed through the lobby. The breakfast by the pool was excellent. The cement furniture was unique, amazingly comfortable for concrete. It definitely has a minimalist feeling. Be warned that there is no elevator. It didn't bother us as we like lots of exercise. The staff lugged our bags to our room on the top floor (I think it was the 5th floor) but folks not looking for a little extra exercise should ask for a room on a lower floor. Our only complaint would be the temperature of the room when we arrived. The AC was not on, it was blistering hot (it was April, the hottest month) and it took almost an hour for the room to be tolerable. The bathroom never really did cool down to a comfortable temperature. Having said that though, we would definitely stay at the Blue Lime on a return visit to PP.

Stayed 3 nights in a pool room. Everything was sublime from the pool to the staff and everything in between. The room was so relaxing that we spent one afternoon just lounging on the day bed doing absolutely nothing but listening to music. It felt like our private little get away from everything going on in busy Phnom Penh. My only criticism would be the bed was a tad hard and the hot water didn't get very hot, which isn't a big thing in Phnom Penh n April. Will definitely be returning to the Blue Lime during my next stay in Phnom Penh.

Room Tip: Spend the extra money and get a pool room. Nothing like walking out the back door and having a dip.

I booked a room with a private pool for 5 nights but only stayed 3. Overall a nice hotel - quiet rooms, good facilities, awesome attached pool and only a couple of blocks back from the riverfront. It has a bit of a prison chic concrete feel to it but nothing too overwhelming. Unfortunately I found the beds too hard and the aircon a bit weak (my bloods as thick as syrup though). The room had a fan but the effects were hindered by the netting over the bed. My breaking point came when I returned one night to find the power out in the hotel (and stayed out til 9am) and my room extremely steamy.
If you can handle a tough bed I recommend this place.

Room Tip: if you've got the cash then get the pool rooms.

Blue Lime is an outstanding hotel. It is indeed an oasis, the pool and surrounds are divine and it was just what we needed to help us cope with the searing temperatures in PP. Unfortunately my husband was quite unwell during our stay; the staff were amazing, they even offered to drive down to a pharmacy at 9pm to pick up paracetamol etc. We stayed in the cheapest room (US$40). It was quite unusual in that it opened directly off the main reception area. It was slightly noisy but for the price it was spacious, clean and the bathroom was excellent (no standing under a shower whilst standing over the toilet here!) We had been staying in US$30 hotels in Vietnam and found the extra $10 took us to an entirely different level of accommodation.

Due the aforementioned sick patient, I was destined to spend many hours lazing in a cabana and I sampled plenty of food which was available all day. Decent sized meals, quite pricey but very convenient and tasty. The massages appeared expensive ; I didn't try this service but a fellow guest told me her massage was excellent.

The location was good, a moments walk from the Royal Palace although it was a fair walk from Riverside in the heat.

Overall we found Blue Lime to be an extremely pleasant place to stay. Treat yourself to a private pool room; they looked amazing!

Room Tip: If staying in the cheaper rooms ask for one not directly off the reception area.

We recently stayed for 3 nights at the Blue Lime. Booked it because of its reviews, facilities, location, photos and that it included breakfast. What a little stunner, a haven of peace and green tranquility with spacious rooms, good service and an excellent breakfast served outside by the swimming pool, with home made bread and lots of fresh fruit and juice and eggs. Lovely sun beds and cabanas surround the pool in and amongst the trees. Good value for money.
