We stayed 4 nights at the Blue Lime, we had previously stayed at their sister hotel the Pavilion, so we had high expectations, we had read reviews about the construction next door, which is still in progress, there is a note in the room explaining that they have an agreement about the work hours. no work before 8am, well it seemed to start at 7am a little annoying but not really the Blue Limes fault, the hotel staff were excellent something that was also at the Pavilion, the food was ok but not really up to the standard I thought it should be, Pavilion could teach them a thing or to, but since there is a lot of choice in Phnom Penh I don't really think that would be a problem, the room was comfortable, we had the private garden room the garden is along the entrance to the room but does have a lockable gate to keep out others, the garden was well kept and was nice to see each morning, the one thing that may put people off this hotel is the entrance, it is up a short lane way, you will be dropped off at the end unless you arrive in a Tuk Tuk, it's a bit of a surprise when you first see it, but there always seems to be someone in the lane way and I never had a problem, finding a Tuk Tuk isn't a problem as there is always a gaggle of them out the front, just inside the gate is a rough price guide for trips, and ALWAYS negotiate a price BEFORE you travel as they will take advantage of unsuspecting travellers ( this is Cambodia wide not just here ) the only problem we had at the Blue Lime was our AirCon was on the fritz when we arrived, they fixed it quickly and with no fuss, overall I liked the Blue Lime, it's within walking distance to the river front, museum, Royal palace, and a short ride to the central market, and again the staff are wonderful .

Although there was some noise from next doors construction the building is largely finished on the outside so didn't bother us too much. Nice room and large bathroom. Balcony was good but in full sun so too hot to sit on. Lovely breakfast; fruit, pastries, eggs, best passionfruit juice and tea or coffee. Nice friendly staff and the pool area is great spot to read and relax.

We stayed twice in the hotel during November. The first stay was for 3 nights, second for one night.
Each time the staff was very kind and helpful. They sorted out a lot of requests for us.
The room was nice and modern (we had both times a room with a private plunge pool). All in all you could describe the hotel as an oasis of calm inmids of a bustling town. It is also very well situated.

We can only recommend this hotel to every couple who wishes to explore Phnom Penh and have a comfi and quiet nights sleep.

Generally an OK stay in a good location.
The worst aspects are the construction next door - noise and being unable to use half the pool in case something falls on you (it is cordoned off), and we did see a rat scuttle down through the courtyard towards the kitchen area.
Our triple room had 3 beds in the photo, and we requested 3 beds specifically, but it was a double and a single. Good air con and a good shower. It also had a little balcony.
The tuk tuk drivers out in the lane were pretty full on every single time you went out. Be aware that it's down a lane and the taxi won't go down there. It's only about 50 metres though.
The construction site next door is huge, they won't have finished any time soon.
We had dinner there one night and it was AWFUL and really expensive compared to everything else we had in 2 weeks in Cambodia. I would definitely say between the rat and the food to avoid the restaurant.

The construction again. They are indeed very painful when they make noise. Thank God it is not all the time. They had told us the building would be completed by December, I hope it is the case.... We have put ultra sound devices against the rats, traps and even a pest control company. I think we have less of these little friends than other places but some indeed manage to resist all of our tricks. The war is still on! Cheers, Alexis

The hotel is very good, albeit the street on which it is located seems a bit iffy. Once in the hotel area though, everything is fine.
The room we booked was a private room with pool and it delivered on that.
Service is good, with very helpful staff.
The only reason I am not giving it five out of five is the fact that there is some room for improvement in terms of attention to details.

We stayed there for two nights and just got back from the trip.

When I first found this hotel on booking.com , I was really thrilled but then got disappointed because of too much expectation.
Here are my reasons. We arrived after a long journey on the bus from sihanoukville thinking we could finally relax and enjoy in this relatively expensive place. However, I wasn't sure if I liked the attitude of the general manager. There were empty glasses on the table in the lobby. We weren't offered those drinks right away and he later found out and hurried another staff to provide those. It already gave us a weird feeling. Then 5 mins after we got the drinks, he was like : did you finish your drinks? I felt like we had to hurry for him because he had to send us to our room. I guess if you pay 10 dollars a night ,you won't expect much but that was 50 dollars a night (very expensive in Cambodia)

To sum up:
Pros
1.location
2. big quantity of breakfast
3. the garden/ pool
4. friendly front desk ladies and guard

Cons
1. noise from construction next door, impossible to have a chilled meal, and it wakes you up at 7 am . I was so tired.
2. The construction is right next to Blue Lime ,and I was actually a bit concerned the waste of construction or whatever thing would fall down when I was in the pool.
3. Price and value don't go together.

Room Tip: No elevator so make sure you get the first floor room And they don't provide double beds unlike...

Dear Guest,

I am very sorry you felt bad at the Blue Lime. But we do not have a male General Manager, her name is Grace and she is a very welcoming lady... We also have many rooms with double beds and twin beds are offered as an option. But I will have a look at the check in procedures again. Cheers, Alexis

We love the Blue Lime, tucked away in a tiny street behind the Royal Palace and very close to everything. The staff are definitely some of the best we have come across in our travels and the food is delicious.
With a great swimming pool surrounded by palms and vegetation it's a bit like a tropical paradise hidden in the middle of a city and you could have a relaxing time and never go anywhere else if you chose to.
TukTuk drivers are available at the door, which has security 24/7.
Some rooms are bigger and better than others as reflected in the prices but great value overall.
We have stayed 7 or 8 times now and will definitely return.
