The restaurant is under new ownership and while we never went there before, we read and relied on the reviews. The inexperience was obvious, the food mediocre, and they only brought two out of the three dishes we ordered.
On the positive side, there were plenty of staff. But then again, they hovered over us needlessly.
The new name is Tom Yum Kung, but I would not recommend it until they get their act together.

This is a lovely quiet resturant south of the Royal Palace and if you stay at The Pavilion a short walk.
The service was very friendly and the food good although they had not had desserts delvered that day so we did not have any pudding!

In the past two years we have visited Cambodia twice for three weeks and two weeks. Enjoying a really good meal at the end of a usually pretty full day was very important and although generally we found dining out in Cambodia good and inexpensive, the real jewel was Thury Restaurant. The food there is superb, the staff are extremely hospitable and courteous and it is excellent value for money. Normally we like to try different restaurants but while we were in Phnom Penh we kept going back to Thury. On our last visit we met Mrs. Sophal, the owner, who is an absolutely lovely person and spent lots of time talking with us.
It is difficult to adequately compliment this restaurant but suffice to say that if you visit Phnom Penh you must visit Thury Restaurant. You will experience an excellent choice of food, Khmer and western, wonderful service and hospitality and unbelievable value for money. It was the best restaurant we visited in Cambodia and it is certainly the best restaurant in Phnom Penh.

We have just returned from an extensive tour of Malaysia and Cambodia. Food plays a big part in our lives while we are away. Subsequently we feel that recognition of any exceptional dining has to be benificial to anyone who is visiting the area. The restaurant concerned is Thury situated at 76, Sothearos Blvd, Phnom Penh. We found the food to be of excellent quality with service and cleaniness to match. The extensive menu contains Cambodian , Western and Italian dishes all at very reasonable prices prepared by a Royal chef. On the two visits we made to the restaurant one of the waiters who served us was Makara Sem, a lovely young man who made us welcome as did all the staff. Go to this establishment, it wont disappoint. My wife had a dish called Carry Sach K'dam, a Cambodian curry with fresh crab meat and served with jasmine rice all for a snip at $ 6:50, i had Bar Char which was their version of Phnom Penh fried rice with tiger prawns at a tasty price of $ 4:20.On our second visit we had Nyum Trayoungchek which was banana flower salad with julienne vegetable, Cambodian mixed herbs, grilled chicken breast tossed with peanut dressing $ 3:20, and the main was Spaghetti Onassis, which consisted of spaghetti stir fried with aromatic herbs, tiger prawns, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes and black olives $ 5:60. Hope anyone who visits this establishment gets the same vibes as us.
