And I meant the casino type! Yes, it's the biggest in P.Penh and I would say you have a lot of options for having a good time and trying your luck there.

It's also convenient for busy business people who travels alone like me as it consist of quite a few restaurants just about every type to satisfy your gastronomic palate! If I have the time to explore out, it's definitely better but when not and after a long tiring day, you just want to get back and not venture out to look for food.

Overall, it's a pleasant stay and remember to ask for river view room - that's if it's avail. They don't have a no-smoking policy room but they are kind enough to offer a change should the room not be to your liking.

I stayed on the 7th and didn't notice too much noise from the construction on the upper floors but in the evening you could hear boom box from possibly the theme park opposite faintly from my room. Didn't bother me as its really quite faint.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Nagaworld Hotel, Phnom Penh. The casino is amazingly beautiful and has a great atmosphere. Theres a great choice of restaurants within the complex including Italian and French which were great! On one of our nights there we even had *someone* of great importance arrive and a red carpet was laid out, and a whole heap of papparatzi! Not sure who it was but the mercedes he arrived in had on the number plate that he was some type of royalty.

The hotel room itself was fine but who wants to stay in a huge Las Vegas-like casino when touring Cambodia? You cannot avoid the smoke-filled lobby. This isn't a Cambodian experience. It saddens me to see how poor this country is and to then show off all that is ugly about American wealth. Why bring this type of hotel to this country? And for the record, an employee at this hotel told me most of the local gamblers are the police. It seems they earn quite a bit of "extra" money; think bribes. I cannot recommend this hotel. If this is your type of place, why travel outside the U.S.?

Room Tip: I don't know which tower we stayed in but we did have a room looking over the river. The upper...

We stayed here in nov 2011,very disappointed. Definitely not 5*! There is a huge casino on the ground floor with people smoking everywhere, when we were shown to our room it stank of smoke we asked for a non-smoking room but were told there are no non smoking rooms and they will all smell the same! The room was large and spacious but there were cigarette burns on the carpet & bathroom sink units and the wall paper was coming off the walls. We did not eat breakfast as again people were smoking beside the food and some young ladys of the night were even alowed to stay for breakfast.
We were only booked in for 2 nights on a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia and this was the worst hotel we stayed in. This hotel is aimed at Asians who just want to gamble all day/night. You could count the amount of westerners on one hand.

Naga World Hotel is ideally located, close to almost all the areas, including the Riverfront. The hotel is mainly suited for travelers who are interested in CASINO. they have 24 hour CASINO which is crowded almost all the time.
Well, I have been staying here regularly, but had never put my review here. It would be unfair on my part not to rate them.

Arrival: The arrival area is usually very very crowded. There are too many tuk tuk and taxi drivers standing at the enterance. At times it is annoying. But then this is the only negative part of this wonderful hotel.
Reception: Very friendly, smiling (I felt that this is the real LOS), efficient. During my last stay, there was some misunderstanding in my reservation and the Guest Services Manager, Ms Melissa provided wonderful support in resolving the problem.
Lobby: Lobby is huge, always crowded, with the sound of CASINO music always hitting the ears. Every night there is some program or the other in the lobby - cultural, musical, dance etc. its really entertaining.
CASINO: I value my hard earned money and therefore have never tried entering that area.
ROOMS: rooms are wonderful...very comfortable bed, bathroom is lavish. I got a river view room and it was really wonderful to sit in front of the window and watch the river flowing by. During your stay request for river view rooms.....you will really enjoy it!!

RESTAURANTS: There are quite a few restaurants in within the hotel premises, however I did not like the taste of food much. The service, as usual, was with smile and all of them were very courteous.

CONVENIENCE STORE: there is 24 hour convenience store on the 1st floor. They have everything, from water, eatables, beer, toileteries.

TUK TUK - I observed that if you take tuk tuk from front of the hotel, they charge more. However, if you crossover to the otherside, take a left turn and turn right on the cross road, you get choice of few restaurants and tuk tuks are reasonable.

SAFETY - This is one point which was of concern to me. I could see that any and everyone was allowed to enter the hotel, no checks, no restrictions. Even the lifts going to residence floors were accessible to ALL. I think that in interest of the safety of guests staying there, the hotel should consider tightening the security a bit.

Overall, fantastic place to stay!!

Room Tip: please ask for river facing rooms.

Naga World Hotel is one of the newer hotels in Phnom Penh. Thus, the rooms are well-decorated and complete with all modern necessities, including a full-channels LCD TV. While it's located along one of the busiest streets, there is nothing much around the hotel. More adventurous guests could try to walk to the river side (approx 15mins) or just grab a tuk-tuk/taxi outside the hotel entrance.

Families with small children may want to reconsider this hotel though. The casino is not 'hidden' from view and guests can freely walked through it.

Well, it's not for everybody. If you are looking for a hotel with a touch of local culture and hospitality, then it's not for you. It's an ala Las Vegas hotel with casino and at least 10 different restaurants catering to every tastebuds. But if you are looking for a safe bet practicalities, then stay there. It's a new modern hotel, the room was huge and the bathroom was spacious. Service was prompt and quick. We love the grand decor of the lobby, the big sofas of the Lobby Lounge and also the breakfast spread (marvelous). You will find many tuktuks (preferred mode of transport in PP) outside, do rent one for a sightseeing whole day for as little as $25. Across the hotel there is a theme park where you could try just for the experience of it (dont complain and compare to Disneyland of course). But yes, it could give you twisted image of Phnom Penh. Lobby was full of smoke and noise, Lexus and high end cars lining outside, securities was ala Man in Black, and you see ladies in skimpy outfits around the lobby...Well, it's your choice, but for us, getting a 5 stars room for $ 77++, we dont complain
