NEGATIVE:
1.] Bathroom is completely useless. Handshower mounted on the wall, so when you take a shower EVERYTHING gets wet. A really big minus.
2.] Very very old and in desperate need of a LOT of TLC. Needs upgrading NOW.
3.] Air-Con only just works, dont really cool much. When we arrived, it was VERY VERY hot and humid. It took all day to cool a bit. We had the air-con on 16c 24 hours a day. Still only cool.
4.] Bed was like concrete. Full stop. 3 nights there was a nightmare.
5.] A little traffic noice, not much, BUT lots of screaming and yellings a fighting in the street all night every night we were there. All appeared to be Locals.
6.] No lifts. Very bad stairs.
7.] There is several tuk-tuk drivers parked at the front door and they really hassle you as soon as you go through that front door. Most of them will NOT take NO for an answer.
Say ort-te-orkun means No, Thank You. That helps sometimes

POSITIVES:

1.] Extremely good position, right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants and 3 or 4 markets within walking distance. A very very big plus.
2.] Staff was very friendly and helpful and most of them was ok understanding english.
3.] Cleaning was also done in a nice way and we got everything we asked for. Extra toilet paper, extra Towels etc etc.

Would we stay again. Nope, for 33 dollars per night.

Grate location right on the riverside with every thing you need in walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful they even gave my mother the room with least stairs to climb to make it easy for her.
And the rooms are nice and quiet so if like us you had a late night you don't get woken at the crack of dawn like in so many places.
All in all we had a very good stay and they said if in the future we call to reserve a room we will get the same rate as booking online $21 so I'm sure the next time we are in Phnom Penh we will stay there again

Stayed only one night and although an older hotel with all the older problems, I thought it was excellent value for the price we paid (which wasnt much). We DID however check out a few rooms first because it doesnt have double glazing on the windows (being an older hotel) and we are fussy about noise. The rooms overlooking the river (where the noise is) were noisy. However we chose a room at the back (on a higher level) and it was quiet. Clean, comfortable and basic. So if you're on a budget and choose your room, then this is good value. No breakfast, but lots of breakfast places close by.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back and on a higher level.

Our room had many mosquitoes in it. I have no idea where they came from, but they were there as soon as we entered. Even after killing many of them off by hand, they persisted throughout the night and for the duration of our stay (4 nights).

Reception were not very helpful or accommodating when we asked for help or directions (we stayed there when the King's funeral was on and a lot of restaurants were closed and many streets blocked off) and they didn't seem too keen to make any phone calls to see if places were open for us, just responded with "probably" or "might not be open". Very different from service we received in Vietnam where receptionists were happy to call local businesses for us to find out information.

Internet was terrible. Could barely load a webpage most of the time inside our room, but the reception was strong and quicker outside of our room so I think it depends where you are in relation to the modem.

Great location is the only good point I can think of.

Female receptionist told us it would cost "around $4-5 for a tuk tuk" to the genocide museum (only 6-7km away). No way!! We got a tuk tuk for $2 each way. Reception are quite unhelpful and useless really. If the Internet worked, Google would answer all your questions so much better.

As a side note, they forget to charge us for our laundry which was meant to be $2/kg and after the dismal service from reception, we didn't think to remind then when they gave us our bill.

Room Tip: I would suggest looking elsewhere, I would not go back to this hotel.

Stayed there for 4 nights and loved it, paid $20 Us a night and were put in a 4 bedroom suite on the top floor. Has everything you need and for the price you cant lose. The location is also right on the river front and near all the clubs and temples so very central to everything. The only bad thing was the laundry service we were slugged $12 US to wash 2 bags of clothes we thought was a bit steep but anyway overall you cant go wrong with this place!!!

Stayed in a room facing the river with a private balcony on the 3rd floor for several nights.
The room was clean, although the hot water was not working it compensate with a great location & a great river-view. Value for money.
Wifi connection is good. The traffic noise doesn't bother me that much, you can always close the door to the balcony. I'm a late sleeper & usually around 2am it's quiet outside.
AC works nicely.
All in all, I love this hotel & will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher floor for less noise & better view.

The AC froze up and I had to switch I off.
The Internet was totally unrelible, sometimes okay but often almost unusable.
No hot water, just below luke warm.
The room was unclean
The side lamp was broken with its shade missing.
The pillows were old and lumpy
I told the staff member in the morning about my issues when I was checking out, his English was poor and he argued with me. All he wanted was the money, he was not interested in any feedback so that issues could be rectified. There are other hotels in the same area for the same price that have a much better experience and offer much better service. Don't use this hotel.
