My wife and I like trying new places, so took the relatively long journey from central Phnom Penh to the southern end of Bong Keng Kong to try out this place that has been getting good reviews. We were disappointed. The restaurant itself resembles a cafeteria, with the only nod to New York being a few framed posters of iconic buildings and the Statue of Liberty. There is a liited, simple menu, but as Mama's advertises itself as a deli, we opted for "deli style" sandwiched. They were tiny, and the optional cheese I ordered was simply a slice of Kraft style pre-packaged plastic. I'd ordered chicken, which had been bread-crumbed and cut into strips that kept falling out of the sandwich. This is not what I expect from a deli. I will not be returning.
