Description: The Shop 240 is located on tree-lined Street 240 near the Royal Palace, it was our first outlet when we started in 2001 and it remains hugely popular. This colonial-era house has a peaceful patio out front, a wood-floored dining area inside, and a leafy eating area out back. Ceiling fans keep things cool, and a fresh supply of free newspapers in this oasis keeps our customers up to date with world events as they enjoy our Mediterranean-inspired menu. We have other The Shop locations on Street 102 and Street 337 in Toul Kork as well as The Chocolate Shop locations on Street 240 and Street 63.

We went there with our 3 kids for a snack and we really enjoyed!
The kids had special Easter cupcakes and chocolate eclair and we shared small cakes: apple, chocolate coconut, chocolate lemon and milk chocolate mini-tarts. Hard to say which was the best...

Evetry weekend I stop here in the morning before going to the gym. breakfast smoothie, two eggs and toast and a decent cup of coffee for $8. Nothing wrong with that.

We found this place through Lonely Planet who listed this as their Top Choice. And it truly is a very nice place! They have lots of different kind of food on the menu with a good range of salads and lighter dishes perfekt for lunch. We had the pita with falafel and tzatsiki, which was really fresh but still made me full as the pita was literally stuffed with falafel and vegetables. My boyfriend had a wrap and was equally satisfied with that. The coffee is good and relatively strong and you get it in mugs bigger then at most other places. They have a counter filled with delicious cakes and tarts - the small lemon tart that we had was amazing, the chocolate cake was nice too but nothing special really. The service is friendly, wifi works well and the whole place (including bathroom) is clean and nicely decorated. We really had nothing to complain about. Yes, it is a bit pricier than having a meal on the street, but not much and definitely worth the extra dollar or two. If you are looking for a nice spot for lunch or coffebreak, this is the perfect place!

Creative, delicious, healthy food! We really liked our breakfast at the modern The Shop Bakery. The staff is friendly and we felt very comfortable!

I'll start with the good.

Service: polite and attentive. A good start.

Food: pretty good for the price and nicely presented.

Coffee: not bad, again, well presented.

WIFI: NOT UNTIL 2PM? WHAT? Should be made clear when they see you setting up a laptop not waiting till you order to inform you. Or at least put up a sign.
