“Good Location”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We stayed at Ohana for 3 nights and really enjoyed it we asked for a balcony pool view room which you can have one or the other so we choice the pool view whick was nice. The balcony rooms look ok but are looking straight over a small busy road which the markets start very early in the mornings. Our room was large and had everything you need and the staff are very helpful. Its central to everything and location is right on the riverside, heaps of restaurants and bars at your door step. The breakfast was good heaps to choice from would stay there again good hotel for the price you pay

Great hotel in an very central location. Not exactly as advertised but still well worth staying. A few steps from the riverfront, close to markets and the staff are friendly and helpful. The waterfront was abundant in restaurants and bars which all were inexpensive and clean. The breakfast at the hotel had a great choice of dishes that varied each day. Overall a very good value place to stay. Congratulations to the Staff.

Room Tip: Most of the balcony rooms are over the street which is ok but the smell from the markets could be of...

Hotel in very good location right on the riverside boulevard in the center of Phnom Pen simoom. Not using the tuk-tuk you can walk to the palace complex, take a walk around the city center and the river. The hotel has all the facilities needed to operate without reservations, very nice and friendly service. Beautifully situated on the rooftop restaurant overlooking the city, the river and the bustling morning market. Recommend on multi-day tour of Phnom Pen and surrounding area.

Hotel is good centered near the boulevard of the Tonle Sap river. Good and friendly service of the hotel staff, the rooms are a little dated and need some refreshing but are big enough. Also a little fridge on the room.but the beds are to hard....Breakfast on the 6th floor was oke but there is not much choice. The night market is in front and around the hotel. Also a lot of restaurants and bars...so for a few nights oke....

We stayed at the Ohana on two separate occasions recently. The hotel responds to email queries and requests very promptly which can be very useful. Location is perfect for travellers as it is in the Riverside area (which is very convenient for tourists and full of activity and life) but it is just off the main, noisy street and right next door to the Kandal market. There are restaurants all around the hotel with a huge amount of choice for all. The Friday, Sat and Sunday night market is a 3 minute walk away and of course the Tonle Sap river is only 50 metres away.
The hotel is an older hotel that has been refurbished. It is one of the few hotels apart from the very large hotels that actually has a lift that services the 6 floors. No nasty walk up the stairs which is a plus. Reception is quick and efficient with friendly staff who speak English well. We had a deluxe balcony room which was a good size, with a comfortable bed, good airconditioning, in room safe and good free wifi. The room overlooked the street below with the Kandal market to the left and the river to the right. We enjoyed watching the daily happenings from our room.
Breakfast is on the 6th floor and is a very nice way to start the day. You can eat either inside or outside while you watch the river action - beautiful. Breakfasts in Cambodia tend to be very simple with little choice but the Ohana puts on a lovely buffet breakfast with something for everyone. They even make an effort to include lovely petite, colourful, Khmer desserts to try.
Downstairs on the reception floor there is a restaurant that has been reopened recently. We didn't eat there but we did notice they had some conferences at the motel and they looked like they provided nice food via this restaurant. This restaurant opens out onto the pool area and the pool is excellent, large and well maintained. The pool area provides fabulous respite from the never ending heat. For those who have not had enough heat there is also a sauna near the pool. A massage spa menu is available from a team of massage ladies locate next to the sauna. You can order cool drinks, western coffee and food from poolside service.
Overall this hotel is very well located, has well trained friendly staff and is value for money.

We stayed at Ohana for 2 nights as a part of our 7 day tour of Cambodia. The rooms are clean and comfortable and perfect for a short stay. The swimming pool is one of the best features of the hotel where you can unwind and have a dip after a long day. The hotel bar is well stocked and serves a variety of great and affordable cocktails and liquor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and is willing to attend to your requests with a smile at any time. The hotel is very centrally located right by the market and is walking distance from the best restaurants and bars in the City. The breakfast selection was poor compared to the other hotel we stayed at. Overall a worthwhile, comfortable and convenient hotel!

Good location, service and great pool. Exactly what we were expecting and hoping for. Unfortunately the breakfast was a little poor compared to other hotels. Just about everything you need is close by. Staff we polite with basic English and were happy to arrange transport to our next stop.
