“You get what you pay for with this hotel!”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

The only thing good about this hotel was our room. It was spacious, had a mini fridge, and a large bathroom. The front desk staff was nice, but not welcoming. Our last day there, they were in a back room doing each others hair.

Location is a good walk through busy street to get to city centre. Beakfast was pretty bad. You had 2 choices. It barley filled us up and wasnt very tasty at all. After the first morning we decided to go our for breakfast rest of our stay.

It was ok for what we paid, but i'd rather spend an extra $5-10/night and stay somewhere else.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were well appointed with A/C. Our bed was a four post bed and was very clean. Each room has a safe and our room had coffee making facilities although our friends next door in an identical room did not. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast offered a choice of eggs and toast and fruit juice as well as tea or coffee and was included in the cost of the room. We also ate there and in the evenings I'd recommend the roof top terrace, which for some strange reason was always very quiet. Good food though. I'd definitely stay here again if I were visiting PP.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed and ultimately I got cheated by the manager. They told me they had working wifi internet but for much of the time I was there it didn't work.

People walking on the wooden floors above your room make terribly loud noise which wakes you up.

Construction at the building next door woke me up at 6.30 am with jack hammer noise close to my room.

The breakfast was a joke with such small portions it was a waste of time going. The hotel is poorly located far from the central business area. I have traveled all over SEA and this is the worst place I have used. It is sandwiched between massage parlours and you can walk down the road without being hassled.

Way over priced for the kind of hotel it is. The manager lied about the non-working internet. Then he wouldn't adjust the price. People had to go to a hotel lobby down the road to use the net. The manager was basically dishonest.

I would never stay at this hotel even if it was free!

Room Tip: Wifi doesn't work most of the time, extremely noisy

Don't be misled by booking sites: this hotel is not actually central; it's located somewhat away from the tourist and nightlife heart of Phnom Penh on Sothearos Boulevard, but PP is a compact city and you're never more than about 10 minutes and a $2 tuktuk ride from just about everything anyway. My "deluxe" room (featuring a window!) was a bit noisy because it looked out on the busy street, but it was fairly large and comfortable, clean and cozy. Furnishings were quite basic but functional. Staff were kind and friendly. No complaints.

Tip: Don't get roped into the steak dinner on the roof that they advertize in the hotel's elevator unless you like tough, tasteless steak. If you crave a great steak, head for Steve's Steakhouse on Street 51(Rue Pasteur), corner of Street 278.

Nightlife Tip : Get away from the Riverside and check out the nightlife on Street 51 near Sorya Mall!

For the price, this place is really good value. The rooms are reasonably sized, the bed is quite comfortable, and the wi-fi pretty reliable.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and would happily do so again.

The breakfast could certainly be improved (3 plates on a table hardly constitutes a buffet), but for the price, one could hardly complain.

Stayed in this hotel just for 1 night, hotel is very nice, clean, looks like new, the staff is very helpfull, but their english was very poor, quite difficult to speak with them, location is great, maybe just 15 minute to walk to kings palace...good value for your money.

Rooms are very plain with very basic amenities. The bathroom in both my room and my friend's room flooded every time we showered. They provide a free breakfast which was decent but you are limited to 1 Khmer choice or1 Western choice. The hotel staff was friendly and helped me out with my wireless internet problems. My one night there, there was an incredible amount of noise coming from upstairs until about 3 AM. Overall, I had higher expectations for this hotel--it is not a good value compared to others in the city.
