What can you say about this place. It looks and feels like a hotel but its extremely quiet and spooky. I arrived in august and the place was empty. Went for a massage on the 1st floor spa where the attendent opened a door to a room of 50 or so women and said please choose, yep its a brothel. Receptionists have extremely poor english. Breakfast was good but chinese orientated. The rooms are clean and better than most guest houses in phnom penh. Location is pretty good (close to riverside). Based on the price its worth what you get but dont expect anymore.

The hotel decoration has a strong Chinese influence. The lobby in particular appears to be a little "cheesy". The breakfast, even though it is free, mostly features Chinese fare, and we didn't enjoy it at all. We decided to go out and get our own breakfast on the 2nd morning. Also, people were smoking in the restaurant over breakfast. The rooms were actually quite large and the sheets and towels were clean. The bathroom had a big shower and was also quite clean. Even though the hotel is located quite close to the Palace, it seemed like no tuk-tuk driver we encountered knew where the hotel was. We wasted a lot of time going around the blocks to look for our hotel with the drivers, and it became a bit frustrating at the end. We also had an issue with the laundry service. We gave 2 small bags of laundry to a hotel employee who did not speak English. We could not ask her how much it would cost, and when the bill came, it was $55!!! That meant that it would cost more than one night in the hotel. Obviously, we were very unhappy, and we had to spend a lot of time talking to the receptionists, who were not that understanding. In the end, after many discussions, we were able to meet with the Manager.

This hotel is away from the river front. Will cost 2 USD by tuk tuk for each one way trip. Has inhouse massage service open up to midnight. And a night club sort of place on the roof top. The location is however a problem. The hotel is accessible from two roads but both got flooded due to heavy rain (October 2011) making difficult to approach even using a tuk tuk. The room first given to me did not have a window. But later changed on request. Free internet was available in the lobby. The hotel is good for solo traveler but not for family. There is a great restaurant "The Vegetarian" on street 200 within walking distance from the hotel. Ask for "Suvarnabhoomi school" and after crossing the school you will see the restaurant on the same side. Will go back to this hotel just to be close to "The vegetarian".

We booked in at the Luxury World Hotel for 2 nights in August 2011.
We went to our room needing a shower discovered that there was no hot water and the bathroom had an excessive amount of mould growing on the tiles. We complained and were told that they were booked out and could not give us any other room. After we protested and asked for the Manager a lady came to the desk and said they could not allocate anoher room howver when I mentioned Trip Advisor we were given an upgrade to a larger room and the lady said we don't want any bad reports on T.A. After this encounter we were treated`like lepers. The restaraunt upstairs double as a girly bar with very ordiary food on offer. My advise is give this place a big miss and stay closer to the river,.Have fun Pete

Room Tip: Ask for room with hotwater and no mould.better still don't go there.

Rooms cost around 30 dollars a night with breakfast included. It was great value for price. The restaurant upstairs did not feature many Western food choices but breakfast had a few options and they were willing to make eggs however I wanted them. Location was alright but as a solo single traveller I should have stayed closer to the riverfront as more going on at night and things to do.

Room Tip: Great room for price. Large and clean, newer bathrooms.

Stayed at Hotel Luxury World for 3 nights during March 2011. Rooms are clean, comfortable. I was impressed with the number of choices of TV channels. The hotel staff was very friendly too. Airport Transfer was also arranged for us to and fro to the Airport. There's a coffee house located downstairs serving nice local food and also a Restaurant located on the top floor of the hotel where you can enjoy delicious seafood and a drink overlooking the city's skyline. I'll definitely be back!!

I had spent couple of days in Phnom Pehn and it's a right choice to stay here. The location for this hotel is good and convenience. The price is reasonable and value for money.
